Sunday night, June 27th, was amazing. Why you ask? Because Furthur (the Grateful Dead minus Jerry and a few other originals) played at the baseball stadioum in none other than Coney Island. And I went (of course). My parents, few family friends, and I went. My bf and I went our seperate ways from the others and saw a sideshow. Then we went back to see the show and have our own fun.
The band was awesome. They playe Fire on the Mountain, Sugar Magnolia, Dear Mr. Fantasy, and many sweet songs. This was my boyfriend's first show and I'm jealous that he got an awesome set list for his first time.
So all this brought me wondering: Can a Goth be a Dead Head? I love the goth subculture. No doubt about that. But I also love the hippie counterculture as well. I will never give up my Free People clothing and my moccasins.
So throughout all this rambling about the Grateful Dead et al, I was wondering ifs it possible that a hippie can also be a goth?
Love,
Marie
