Yesterday I was drawing dogs all day. I was trying to figure out the style of dog I wanted to add to my comic. I must have drawn about 15 different looking kinds. I drew one after my favorite "nephew", The Kla's dog. I still am unsure of what types I like best, but I will figure something out.

Taking a break from it all today. One of my closest friends that passed away last Ocotober would have been 20 today. His mother is throwing him a birthday party and all of the friends and family are going to celebrate 20 years Jonathan Red Coleman. So no drawing today, but there will be a lot of memory sharing. Red will always be known as one of the most loved people that ever walked this earth. I wish him a happy birthday.

That is a really cool idea! A friend of mine holds a dinner every year to honor her life long boyfriend. She gave me all of his science fiction books when he passed away saying that she knew they would go to a good home. They are on my shelf now and I have only read one, but the others shall have their day. Right now optics, philosophy, physics and software books take precedence. But I digress. I wish your friend a happy birthday too! I will start celebrating my deceased friends birthdays as well.

LadyDraven, I celebrate the birthdays of my loved ones who have passed away and have done so for the past 12 years. It is a beautiful way to celebrate their lives, rather than dwell on the fact they are no longer in my life.
