I may be only 22 years old, born many years after the show went off the air, but I've seen plenty of reruns and I quite liked M.A.S.H. especially his character. Shame he didn't make it all the way to 100, but he had a good long run, and certainly made an impact on early TV.

Very sad. One of my favourite lines of his to Klinger:

"Buck up, son. I'll bring back that material from Tokyo. You'll make yourself a beautiful evening gown. You'll feel like a new man!"
