Good supportive boots?

I'm trying to goth up within a somewhat limited work uniform (i.e. navy polo, black or khaki pants or skirt). Since I'm working retail I'm on my feet for 8 hours a day, which means the cute flats I like to wear are right out. I'm looking for a nice boot that would go with a cute skirt while still being supportive for being on your feet. Suggestions?

I've always found good ol' Doc Martens to be the comfiest, and the easiest to get away with in work uniform terms. An extra insole added to any footwear is also my latest thing, standing for long periods .. I'm getting to old for that shit o.O

Ah yes, but DM's, good ankle support etc - it's how they came about originally.
Lots of styles, patterns etc and some of the faux Docs styles are also pretty sweet .. and cheaper. Back to foam insoles tho - they rock imo ;)

Second the DM vote. By far and away the most comfy boots you will find!

You can never go wrong with military boots. Even after getting out of the army I still wear mine and have only had to replace them once or twice since they last forever. Plus, if need be you can get them resoled for a fraction of the price for a new pair.

I love military boots. They're comfy and there are many to choose from.
