True dat. It's possible that ditching the euphemisms, and turning the usual traditional gender roles up to eleven so they can be expressed in the more edgy D/s role play* has superficially rebranded the same genre.

*The power role play of BDSM is not sexist. I'm just saying that there are elements of control and power-imbalance in traditional gender roles, and I'm seeing an intersection between the two in how this author has chosen to present bondage and submission.

...And please tell me she has ditched the romance convention of euphemisms. I shudder to think what she'd come up with.
