Another weird thing that happened to me at work recently was when I was taking an order from a customer and a baby at a nearby table started crying - I jokingly said "uhoh, she's woken up!" and the woman asked in surprise "is that your baby?" I replied that she wasn't, and the woman laughed and said "well, you're much too young to have a baby aren't you?"
*puzzled look from me*
"Umm... yeah... So what would you like to drink?"
I'm 23 godamnit! *laugh*
