Mom, child injured after man's gun fires in Dallas Walmart

DALLAS — A shopper was charged with evading arrest after his gun accidentally discharged inside a Walmart store Monday night in northeast Dallas.

Police said Todd Canady, 23, will likely also be charged with injury to a child. Police said he initially attempted to flee after his gun fired at the store, located at 9301 Forest Lane. Canady, another shopper, Cassie Schinto, and her five-year-old daughter were injured when the gun fired.

Canady, who Dallas police said has a Concealed Handgun License, accidentally pulled the trigger of his Springfield .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol. It was holstered inside his pants, a sergeant told News 8.

Unlike all of those video clips which span over the course of many years, this happened yesterday.
