“Sgt. Pepper Live” featuring Cheap Trick at Paris Las Vegas

I don't care how uncool or ungothic it seems - I am really wishing there was some way I could afford to go see “Sgt. Pepper Live” featuring Cheap Trick at Paris Las Vegas Theatre this coming June & July. I know it's more than 40 years since the album was originally released, but it doesn't matter to me.

In fact, due to the unorthodox wizardry the Beatles wrestled out of their state-of-the-then-art studio technology, it was theoretically impossible to perform something technically resembling the album live for the first 20-some years of it's existence. Now, it can be gloriously rendered to full effect, and as The Beatles are no longer available to see it through, I can think of no greater group to tackle the challenge than Cheap Trick. I grew up in Cheap Trick's back yard, and they've long demonstrated an affinity for interpreting The Beatles' classic tunes.

And "Oh my gosh ...", the supporting cast!

Well, I guess I'll have to settle for dreaming and buying the DVD.
