I sat staring into the air trying to ignore my hated ex- stepfather for five hours while being bored to death by my grandmother (whose memory is so bad she keeps repeating the same things at least twenty times in the course of one evening) and annoyed by my sulky brother and stressed- out mother. Unfortunately, that's how a standard family get- together is in our family. *sigh*
