I saw some things on voter intimidation tactics that were happening in the US.. and srslyguisewtf???
A friend of mine posted on Facebook about how the people who hand out "vote for [insert person here]" brochures at the polling places were taught how to 'recognise' trans* people and to mention to them that voter fraud is a crime that they could be prosecuted for.. implying that if their gender presentation didn't match the gender listed on their ID that they might be breaking the law - which I know isn't true, but fuck those people for doing that.
I can't believe that that is a thing.
