People bringing their kids up properly would encourage kids to read. And it would encourage kids to read books that aren't shit. Seriously, the quality of literature has plummeted to the point where if it was published after Bukowski's death and it's not by David Mitchell, THAT SHIT AIN'T WORTH READING.
