It's not so bad.

When you get a place to rent, there's usually a 25 to 30 dollar app fee and then if you're approved, there's a security deposit of a months rent. You need double the amount of rent for the first month basically.

After that, you need to call your utility company and have the utilities put into your name and address.

After that, it's pretty much just keeping up with that bill, rent, and whatever it is you need to live on.

You can look into craigslist for rooms for rent. Some people get a whole bunch of people together and rent out lavish houses where you're responsible for just your part of the rent and you pretty much live with a bunch of people.

What you'll need:

A decent credit score

A job/means of income

Good references

You'll probably have to sign a lease for a year, so when you get a place be sure it's a place you really want.
