I don't care how advanced you are, you need to get past HUGE technical problems that are probably beyond humanity or alien.
The government pricks will go to any length to keeping the public dummied down about the true origin of saucer technology, they might even shoot down their own craft, but they won't be piloted. How dumb would it be if they shot the sucker down, it split open on the ground with a bunch of charred human bodies in scorched air force flight suits on them!
