I really sympathise with anyone who has that kind of chronic pain. It must be awful. I broke my hand in a rock climbing accident five years ago and have a metal implant in one of my fingers because the bone was too small and too badly smashed to set properly. I'm not ambidextrous anymore which sucks, and I get a lot of cramp in my finger, but nothing like what you must have to put up with.
