Well, it's my impression that gun buy-back offers and gun laws in general don't work, but that's a different debate best left to the thread I'm sure already exists in the politics section.
Your beef was with the amount of money being paid, which is just dense. Who cares. I for one think that only people who wanted the money offered gave up these "priceless" valuable antiques that you were slavering over. And I'm glad the government got the guns and not someone else. And I'm glad it didn't cost more taxpayers dollars to do it.
What I don't care about is whether you think the sellers got a raw deal. Come on! Why weren't you on the lot bitching for me when I signed my last car purchase?
