Hello

Hello, all!

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I love to read and write, both stories and poems. I also love art, music, and for reasons I cannot explain, Mythology from all over the world, particularly Egyptian Mythology. I find it fascinating.

2. Where are you from?
Canada

3. Who is your favorite author?
Now that is a tough one... I suppose I'll have to go with Edgar Allen Poe.

4. What are your favorite films?
My favourite movie so far is The Plague Dogs. Such a beautiful film... brutally honest and with a depressing, yet poetic ending.... I love it, though I've never been able to watch it all the way through without having to wipe away at least one tear. There are many other movies I enjoy, too, but that one always stood out the most for me.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I don't know... I can't really picture myself married.

6. At your funeral?
I don't really mind.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I want to die fighting for my beliefs. I want my life and death to mean something, but, in all honesty, I just don't know what yet.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
It doesn't matter.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Hm... I'm not really sure. I have a lot that I like, but I can't pick out one favourite.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Santa Clause. I miss waking up on Christmas Day and finding all those presents under the tree from the mysterious St. Nick. And seeing those half-eaten cookies and an empty glass of milk on the table.

11. What's your favorite band?
Aye, I love too many to count! I'm a big fan of The Cure, Siouxsie And The Banshees, The Bauhaus, and many, many more.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
The only subject I really have any interest in at the moment is Film Studies, but perhaps I'll enjoy Art next semester, and possibly English.

13. Why did you join?
I was just surfing the internet and I came across this site, after lurking around for awhile, I thought I'd like it here, so I joined.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I am female.

I am distinctly reminded of finding the spilled glass of milk and following the cookie crumbs to the door with wide-eyed fascination.

Also, Hi.

And what are those beliefs?

I have many beliefs. One of them being equality. I know, I know, not very original, but I believe in it. I believe that all human beings are just that: human beings. And it doesn't matter what you look like, act like, your religion, what you think is right, you're still human. And no one human being can be "better" than another. At certain things, yes, but not overall.

And I don't believe in Capital Punishment. Two wrongs don't make a right. If you kill a murderer, does that really make you any better?

Kind of ironic if you'd die for those beliefs, don't you think? Unless it's like that Kevin Spacey movie.

I agree it is ironic, but an irony I can deal with. If I was killed because of those beliefs, I still wouldn't want my murderer(s) sentenced to death. I find that a prison life sentence gets the message across much more effectively.
