Hi I'm Sally.
I think the survey says most of it, but feel free to ask anything if you want.
1. What do you do?
I'm taking music a level right now, I had to drop my other subjects from being ill/depressed etc. and missing most of this year. So I have no idea what I'm doing next. I work at a garden centre part time, I play the violin and I sing quite a bit too. My hobbies are reading, music and socialising. The usual.
2. Where are you from?
England, near Cambridge.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Paul Neilan.
4. What are your favorite films?
The Mummy is my all time favourite, but I've never met anyone with the same opinion haha. Also, 28 Days Later, A Clockwork Orange, Eagle VS Shark, Trainspotting, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Libertine, Sleepy Hollow, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Gosh, I haven't thought that far ahead! Um, for walking up the isle I'd want something fairly piano based and soft, like Eileen by The Hush Sound. For the first dance I'd probably go with something old and slushy like Tupelo Honey.
6. At your funeral?
Probably nothing, or some really ancient and unheard of hymn.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
A cyanide capsule after having been caught stealing top secret documents from a Russian spy base. It could happen...
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I'd like to be cremated and spread somewhere with meaning. I'm not sure where that place would be just yet.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Most my clothes are black and pretty similar haha. Probably a black pencil skirt, a black top, fishnets and black heeled brogues or black mary janes. Oh, and a big vintage necklace.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
We hadn't heard of bitchiness and bullying.
11. What's your favorite band?
I have awful taste in music. I like a bit of everything to be honest. I love anything and everything by Leah Hayes, especially her band Scary Mansion. CocoRosie, Ida Maria, The Donnas, You Say Party! We Say Die!, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Louis XIV, Wolfmother, Bad Lobotomy, Sahara Hot Nights, The Doors, The Dresden Dolls, The Horrors, Imogen Heap and The Kinfe. I'm big on girl vocals.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm doing my A levels right now.
13. Why did you join?
I've been lurking for a bit and decided to stop being a creepy lurker.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female.

Do I get to be the 1st to welcome you? I guess so...unless someone else is typing faster than me right now. Welcome to Gnet. When you said the Mummy was your favorite movie which Mummy did you mean? I like the original and the Hammer remake.

Hiya, thank you.
Sadly I meant the 1999 remake. I think thats the reason I'm alone in my opinion, everyone prefers the original. I have yet to see the original, but I'm planning to do so soon!

Welcome. If you're big on female vocals, go on down to the Album Dump in the music forum and acquire the Siouxsie albums. Well worth it
EDIT: thank Man in Room 5 for the albums

Your taste in music is similar to my daughter's. Welcome, and I love listening to violin music by the way.

When played well the violin is indeed quite lovely, sadly my old roommate was less than skilled, I swear I could hear the strings crying in pain.
Anyway welcome to our happy little family

I play drunken irish folk and reels and things on violin. Not sure if it counts as "proper" playing though.
And I agree with Blackwater. The doors is definitely not bad taste. Personally I think they're brilliant.

Properly probably wasn't the best word to use. I meant when it is played well, and doesn't sound like it is being abused like Solumina's roommate seems to have done!
Drunken irish folk and reels are so much fun to play, its sad that I haven't had much chance to play them. I've been brought up playing classical music mostly.
Obviously I need to get some friends with better taste in music then! Haha.

They bore me to tears but to each their own.
Welcome Sally.
