Ass Tard, there's a word I've never heard. Wow. Your body heals over either way, so if you mess up meh. My mom has her ears pierced professionally, and hers always manage to get infected around the same time of year each year...:s So I guess getting it done professionally doesn't always pay off. How do you think people came up with the whole "Piercings" thing...Some person out there had to do it, and it caught on etc...

Uuh...right. First off, they shouldn't get infected like that. Maybe your mother doesn't take care of them, or has a personal body problem. Second, obviously people had to start somewhere, and it likely wasn't clean. That doesn't mean it's still safe. People also used leeches back then, too. Want to try that when you're dying of TB?

Anyway, yeah, your body does heal, but that doesn't make it ok. Ever hear of keyloids? Or tetanus?

Or scars? I have a scar on my arm from a surface piercing I got a few months ago. I'm intending to cover it up with a tattoo. Bit tricky to do that with piercings you fuck up on your face, and you're more likely to leave a permanent mess of scarring than a real piercer.

Any piercing can get inflamed if it's irritated by something... if it happens in summer, it could be because of sweat getting into the piercing, not being cleaned out, and becoming a home for bacteria. If it happens in winter, it could be because of coat collars, scarves, hats, etc. brushing against the piercing and getting dirt in it. If it happens around a specific yearly event, eg. Christmas or her birthday, she could be repeatedly using a pair of earrings that have nickel in them, and the infection is the result of a reaction to the nickel.

1. Post an introduction
2. This thread is in regards to 'industrial' ear piercings
3. Babies can tolerate nose piercings (babies used figuratively)

Trust me, that's quite polite.

Also, what are you doing getting tattooed before you're 18? No self-respecting tattoo artist will serve someone who's underage... or is the age lower where you come from?

well my grandmother signed the papers for me to get one and its small alittle bigger than a quarter and its where no one can see it. Also i come from Indiana where the age for getting them is still 18, they do let the parents or guardians sign a paper showing that someone under 18 can get one.

Um. Yes they will, if there's parental consent.

Anyway, getting your nose pierced hurts, but just a tiny bit. It's like a pinch for a second, and then it's over. You'll probably tear up, but that's not crying, it's because the nerves are connected to your tear ducts.

I only have 4 regular ear pierceings, my mom is going to let me get either my lip pierced or a tattoo when I turn 16 though. I just can't decide which I want to get...

Tattoos are beautiful. they can help you express your life. like mine is a pink butterfly. to me the pink means love and the butterfly means free. so the way i see it, it means freadom to love.

a lip piercing is also very cool. snake bits are pretty nifty.

either one would be nice to get.

and thank you for telling me that it only hurts alittle. i think im still going to go through with it. but i have to wait till i turn 18 because thats when im getting the other tattoos and then ill get my nose pierced.

I had a cartilage piercing and took it out, would it be a good or bad idea to repierce for industrial? Ive heard so many conflicting responses so far... that the scar tissue will build up and it will take longer to heal or that the hole will just be opened up again and will take less time to heal... i dont know...

advice?

Did you pick it from the wall? Or the little books they have laying around? I think you should get a rose for your next tattoo.. right on your ankle... or boob. The thorns can represent how life hurts sometimes.
*sigh*

I don't want to see the drawing. I'd rather see the tattoo instead.

My first tattoo is going to be flowers about my nipples!!!!!! Like my nipple is the center of the flower. It can show how my boobs are beautiful.

ANYWAY, I am having my fairy wings designed for me, so I can get them done in December. (I have been planning this tattoo since I was like 10, So I am really exited, they won't tattoo anyone under the age of 18 in the state of NY)

Sorry about that, I have no idea what the piercing rules in England are.
