I was never out to have a pissing contest with you. Its funny that you took my "hamlet rocks" comment and half assed thesis as any kind of seriously. Though your dots failed to point out where I claimed to be cool, you have successfully pulled me out of just fucking around mode.

You obviously have a sense of humor and intelligence. So why are you having such a problem recognizing some pissing around for what it is? Because it's not up to your standard? I guess I'll end it here because though you may have a bit too much pride to realize it, you and I would get along pretty well outside this train wreck of a discussion.

You win this round, Gothicus. You know more about a story you read than a person who admits he didn't read it. You certainly know how to pick your battles.

Possibly because it wasn't funny enough to suggest itself as a joke.

I'm just sayin'.

Nah, she wasn't the self-sacrificing kind - just a disobedient bitch.

That's what I thought. If she had known the cup was poisoned and wanted to warn Hamlet it would've been much more evident in the text.

I suppose an actress could play it that way if she wanted to, but it's not in her character in my opinion.

Yeah, I think the same. I guess she could if it meant that much to her, but it wouldn't make much sense. Who'd drink that shit when they could just throw it on the floor or yell, "Hamlet, DON'T DRINK THE MOTHERFUCKING WINE"?

Unless we're meant to believe she's gone insane from guilt at her son's revelations made in the midst of some pretty impressive tantrums. But even that'd suck, since Ophelia already went psycho.
