So, I joined this gym and I was really stupid. I made an appointment with a personal trainer (complimentary when I joined) and I decided I was too tough to admit I'm really out of shape.
Consequently, my left leg hurts like a motherfucker and I can't straighten it out.

You will all be pleased to know that, half a week later, I can finally straighten my leg and walk on it without limping.

ok...i am officially the biggest idiot in this hemisphere, as of moday night! Hmmm....
washing champagne flutes, and pouring hot water into the sink at the same time. The glass i had my hand in, burst with the heat and hacked me down to the bone.
I then spent 20 mins in the car with a towel wrapped around it and removing the towel every two minutes to clean the blood and take photo's that i was sending to my friends. I sat in the waiting room at the hospital, poking bits of fat hanging out of the gash. Being in shock, i thought this was funny. And while my parents were doing my paperwork, i went for a walk, to the shop across the road for painkillers, a slab of chocolate and a can of raspberry cooldrink...
The doctor didnt take me seriously cos A: i was laughing and B: he said i'd handle stitches fine cos he'd done them on me before and he knows i'm not scared of needles.
Couple of hours later, i'm texting my boyfriend and starting to stress. The dude in the room with me was losing his thumb. So i wanted to go walkies again. They made me put this crap under my tongue to calm me down...which sooo doesnt work if you know you're due for a tetanis shot! So i started freaking out...i was tired and hopped up on sugar and sore!
Enter doctor. The nurses were kind enough to help my parents restrain me as i tried to punch the doctor. I then resorted to telling him to "fuck off" He hurt me! And left me with a gross germy dude! And i was pissed off. Stitches were over, i got a lollypop and a bottle of myprodol...
I then came to realise i couldnt text, dress myself or play bass with my right hand...I spent the whole drive home crying!

That's gotta be one of the most depressing things I've heard all day.. I don't think I'd done anything like that.. but oddly enough, this story amused me for the most part.
I hope I won't end up not sleeping for a whole night again..

Luckily it was on the top-ish part of my hand, so it missed a whole lot of thingies. but it hit something that made it spurt blood when i moved it...the fun stopped when the gauze got stuck to it. Then i wanted to pee everytime it moved... *blushies*

I hate it when that happens..lol
I cut myself once with a utility knife under the finger nail of my thumb.. I kept trying to stop the bleeding but all my co-workers ( and a funny guy from texas with his accent) was like "you gotta get stitches""... Which I did, and I waited so long in the e room that I think I could have bled to death...

I got a new exacto knife for this project, I had to use that one wood, the one that's all soft and such.. Yeah, so, I dropped if off my desk, and stupid me, I wasn't wearing any sort of protection on my feet.
So where does the exacto knife go? BAM! on my foot.
Luckly it didn't do much harm. Haw..

I was carving a piece of wood with my handy-dandy Swiss Army knife when I was a kid. Long story short, I wound up closing the blade on my index finger, right over the middle knuckle. It cut clear down to the bone and nicked the tendon. What do my parents do? Well, super glue was my family's answer to stitches. It is now a really cool scar.

I heard thats what super glue was originally designed for. Oddly enouigh I had the same injury on my left hand.. still have the scar.. My dad had to cut his shirt for a bandage because we were way out in the boonies in adak, alaska. The knife was a swiss army one but not the typical one. It was small and all metal with an anodized red exterior. I gave it to one of my childhood friends.. He died and I think the knife is gone forever now... I think it's a collectors item now too...

You are correct. We still use it in the Emergency Room. It's gotta be "quality controlled" though, so it is called Liquid Stitches. It works very well for smaller lacerations. It's funny. Vet wrap is the exact same as Coban, kind of like a clingy gauze Ace bandage. But, as an EMT or while working in the emergency you can't use actual vet wrap, it has to be Coban. All the difference that exists is in the price. Vet wrap is quite a bit cheaper.

Cool bandages! It takes double the time it normall would to type things, cos i'm using one hand! And my mouse has now become left hand compatible.
Hand feels very bruised and the other fingers have pins and needles all the time. I usually keep quite when things hurt. But i'm not sure if this is normal or not...
Going for a check-up tomorrow afternoon. so i'll see.

Ow! Poor Persephone! Be more careful babe! I did the exact same thing when I was a teenager: washing glasses while arguing with my mother, got angry as I am swabbing a glass, and crushed it in my other hand, and then my mother took me to the emergency room for stitches. I still have the scar 35 years later.
I rolled my truck off of a mountain back in 1981 (it was like tumbling in a dryer, except add breaking glass), when I climbed out of the crushed cab, my left middle finger from the last knuckle on up was hanging on by a thread, backwards.
The emergency room doctor cleaned it up with BetaDyne, put it back on and stitched it all the way around. I am very lucky that I can still play guitar, as the bone healed well enough for me to still apply pressure to the strings. Maybe I will post a picture of it, it still looks weird today.
From the tingling you describe, it sounds like it may have been close to one of the nerves; I hope it heals completely for you dear, so you can go back to playing music.

It does sound like there may be a bit of nerve damage. I have broken my fingers so many times that it makes it very hard to play guitar anymore. I can do some mean chords, but they are so stiff I can't move them very well from fret to fret, as in lead guitar playing. It kinda stinks, but I know I will never be a shredder hehehe. I've torn three pulley tendons as well, I don't know what the real name of them is, but it is the tendon going over the top of the knuckle. Rock climbing for twelve years will do that, I've learned. When it gets really cold my hands just curl up into little balls. It makes for great fun ice climbing! *eyes roll*
