I didn't like trinity, I thought that dexter got even cockier in that one.
First one is the best.

Ice truck killer was scary...but not as scary as trinity.

I think the reason Trinity was that scary for me was because hey, it was the dude from Third Rock From The Sun!

I did like the first season the best, but I thought Trinity's season blew every other season away.

Yeah, John Lithgow lent the "could be anyone" element to Trinity in a way that most would be unable to... and he usually plays nice or kooky guys.

John Lithgow's face scared me in third rock...old white guys in general scare me...especially when they look british.

Most books really 'flesh out characters'; however, only the shows REALLY highlight the sublties and nuances of the characters. I only read the first book however, didn't bother after that..

Loved the direction the show took that was different than the book. Probably still the best thing on TV.
