I wasn't thinking Little Red Riding Hood. You looked like teeny red witch, though. That's very cute.

My desire to return to my birthplace has suddenly increased drastically(I was born in Tacoma).

I was raised in Wisconsin, and have recently been treated to Lousiana's 100% humidity variety of cold weather(not to mention the house we're renting has absolutely NO INSULATION), I doubt there is a cold temperature in the USA short of guarenteed death that I cannot handle.

In Denmark, we have this tradition in the Christmas month and sometimes in the beginning of January as well where a group of people get together for a "Christmas lunch" where they eat a traditional Danish meal with Danish meatballs, a special kind of sausage called medisterpølse, potatoes in a kind of mayo-based cream and lots of other traditional Danish food, and we play some games, drink some alcohol and have fun. It's really lots of fun unless it's with your mom, your mom's friends and your mom's friends' children of age 10-14.
Anyway, I went to one of these with some of my schoolmates last weekend, and here are my absolute favourite pictures from it:
(Note: I am not actually stoned or tired in any of these pictures, just VERY drunk)
The guy that I have my arm around in the background was just telling me how he was sure I was gonna succeed in life. We are rather good friends : D
Two of my really good friends : D
Probably the only picture where I don't look both stoned and tired : P
I hate that the camera caught me with my eyes closed : p

Wow! Very Austin Powers! The glasses, hair and brightness gives it almost a Peter Max feel.
This is a picture of you that can be accurately called "pretty", compared to your other photos where you are sexy, voluptuous, tempting yada yada yada.

I love that you work with vintage furs - while I really disagree with fur, I think that using furs that already have been harvested in a way honors the animal that was sacrificed.
And fuck me, but you have ridiculously gorgeous eyes. :|

As far as I'm concerned, it's FAR worse not to use up vintage fur . That's it's life was misery, and it's life was taken for the beauty of it's skin is bad enough, but for dipshit Peta activists and vegans to chuck things like that into landfill or moulder in a cupboard is so utterly fucking disrespectful to the lifethat was taken.
Considering some vintage furs you can find are nearly 100 years old and still have plenty of use in them, There is no reason not to use them. Modern western disapproval of real fur hasn't stopped the trade one bit. China is murdering merrily away and still produces 80% of the worlds real fur.
But I can make the choice not to buy into that fresh trade. Fake fur has glamourised the wearing of any fur more than anyone wearing vintage has ever done, it's far more un-envirnmentally friendly ( 3 gallons of oil a coat anyone? ) and doesn't keep cold and wind out nearly as well.
So really buying vintage is no different than buying fake. Either way you're not buying fresh, and I apprecate and honour the animals that died. I pity them and accept their lives were horrible. I can't save them, they're decades dead. The best I can do is make sure those lives aren't a total waste.
I recently bought two pieces of scrap rabbit fur, they're the sleeves of an old 60's/70's fur coat. Brown and white diamond pattern. I'm going to make a huge blanket out of vintage scrap fur for winter. I have a box full of old collars but all of them are re-useable for their purpose s I'm keeping my beadies out for other vintage scrap.

Actually, they recycle them to rescue farms to keep animals warm in the winter.

That's fine ( and not done here to my knowledge, I hope they don't cut up perfectly use-able garments for that ), but that's still no reason not to simply wear it if it's in a good enough condition to be worn. Wether you're homeless or not. Some people also make teddybears from fur scrap, or re-sew unwearable furs too damaged to use for garments, into cushion covers and seat covers.
All of which are great uses for them. I make catnip mice from any use-able trimmings I cut from vintage fur. They invariably get dribbled all over and chewed up by my brother's cats, but I hate to waste even these small pieces by throwing them away. I even stuff the mice with the fluff that comes off when trimming fur.
