Jiggy, when you come down off of that high and are clear-headed again, read back through this thread.

Also, please type out your words; short-hand isn't really necessary here. -_-;;

I have a new account. Seemed like there where a few people from VF getting accounts on GothicNet. I'm naomie76. Fairly obvious login. Someone else already took "Catch."

Anyone that thinks this place is any different/better than VF.com is deluded. How do I know this? All the posts I have read regarding VF.com, criticizing/deriding it, apply to this forum as well.

i didn't realize, Mir, that Juggalos were abundant here on GNet? Granted over the years there's been a handful but i'm not sure if they ever stuck around.

Immaturity is the bane of everything that is teh int0rwebb0rz.

We do have our share of trolls, flaming, and political bickering, but I'd be inclined to think we have more intelligent individuals than VF. Unlike on VF, Juggalos, emos, and the like thankfully don't last long. People on here also tend to have much better music tastes than those on VF, and most of us actually know what qualifies as goth music. I refused to join VF for several reasons, not the least of which being the list of bands they had labeled as goth. I'd also say there is at least a slightly higher percentage of teenagers on VF, particularly immature ones.

Your inclinations are entirely subjective.

I am all of the above, and I'm still around.

Again, taste in music is subjective.

As many here will tell you: Age cannot be used as a yardstick for intelligence. Secondly, teens outnumber non-teens on this forum. Substantially. Finally, what something is labelled as has no bearing on whether it is good or bad.

They have a few good bands under their industrial music section.

You're an Emo and a Juggalo? Doesn't tend to show.

He wasn't using it to define intelligence. He made it very clear that he believes maturity and age are seperate. But here's food for thought: we get less activity than VF. I'd say we have maybe... 30 regulars. I'm probably wrong. It seems that the majority of these here are 18 and over. VF's a lot different. And how many JCCs can you find among VF teens?

I was responding to the idea that having more/less teens/non teens means anything ("I'd also say there is at least a slightly higher percentage of teenagers on VF"). Which ties in with her opening argument that, "I'd be inclined to think we have more intelligent individuals than VF.".

Maybe, that was not implied.

Having a VF account is one thing, begging people to add you as a friend to get your rates up is another. Sure there's people taking pictures of themselves topless by their bathroom mirror but it doesn't mean that everyone lurking around VF is a ...well the word would probably get dotted over anyway.

I do have a VampireFreaks account, althought I don't particularly like it.
I am on it quite a lot however, because my mother checks my Facebook and Myspace.
I was so surprised at the amount of creepy 27-40 year olds trying to get in contact with me, so I tend to just talk to one, or two people.
I personally dislike it because the layout makes it harder to use than other Facial Network sites, plus most, if not all of my friends could be qualified as "normal teenagers"
