Welcome to Gnet, twink.

My dad was born and lived in Hawaii for a long time.

This is really quite amusing
People say it's all for kids, proved them wrong.

Sure did. I always have liked throwing people for a curve. It was kind of fun seeing the reactions I got the first time I wore my goth clothes on the ship. A lot of people had to do a double-take to see if it was really me.

Heh. I can certainly think of a few witty (and probably not very far from the mark) reasonings as to why that might be. :P

I've been checking out several of the other intros. It seems like I must be the only goth in Hawaii.

Not quite true anymore. I finally saw another one on Maui a few days ago.

It's Hawaii. I'm sure there's a scene there.

Look up Hawaii - goth- club in Google. You should easily find a listing of where local goth djs spin in Hawaii.

Yeh, it sucks, but somebody's got to do it! (heh heh) I've been out here most of the past 38 months, returning home for five weeks at a time twice a year for vacation. I love it here!

Welcome, twink! California rocks! My in-laws live out there. I am in Tennessee, and while there are a fair (but small) amount of goths here, I still tend to get strange looks from the general public depending on where I am and how dressed up I am. And yeah, the weather here is awful. It has been bright & sunny every day for the last few days and I'm already dreaming of Fall again. Ugh.

It's never too late to be yourself, I say! I have always been drawn to and fascinated by darker things, but it wasn't until the last couple of years or so that I let that show outwardly b/c I was always so afraid of not fitting in. Then I realized I didn't give a crap anymore. I wear what I wear because I have fun with it & can express myself more.

Anyway, welcome to the dark side!

Not being stalker-ish, but what part of Tennessee? I'm about 60km west of old Knoxville.

I'm actually in Alabama too, but the most ironic thing is, I get ridiculed by the poseurs for not being goth and listening to slipknot or ICP XD I find it rather amusing when I tell them I'd rather listen to Nosferatu or any other goth band, and they reply with ".....Huh?" xD

I'll be 35 next month and only started to let the goth out a few weeks ago myself... There are more of us out there than people think. For me, it makes sense since I have decided I don't care what the world thinks, I'm gonna wear what I want to wear and if they don't like it, I'll tell 'em they're #1.. LOL

I'm glad I'm not the only "mature" goth around. It's somehow surprising and satisfying to relaize that there are more goths in or near my age group than I thought.

I finally around to following up on this: I did find a couple of clubs in Honolulu. Now I just have to go check them out.

PS I also checked out your profile. You're cute!
