I must not pick my new tattoo I must not pick my new tattoo I must not pick my new tattoo.........

It's really scabbed now. I won't be picking of course. But I do have to press on it a little to try and relieve the slight itching I always get >.< I am Honeythorn forever now!

I need to bake my fine art advisor a big batch of cookies at the end of term. She's been a big help these past years.

So. Yes. Whitby.

Tuesday night, packed up my stuff (still haven't finished unpacking after moving into my new place)

Wednesday, up early to make the coach to Leeds to meet Pyro. Snow means a load of roads are closed and a 4 hour journey becomes a 9 hour journey. Point of tears almost reached while trying to keep black feather wings intact. Arrive, late, but agree to continue with the w-a-m shoot for Pyro. Have fun tying a full body karada on a lovely young lady then covering her in custard. Paid £40 for the privilege.

Thursday- pile stuff into Pyro's van, pick up the girls, and off to Whitby over the moors! Get everything dumped into the cottage, and out to the pubs. Sample lovely new Triibe liqueur in the Elsinore before returning to the Resolution for Devilish Presley (who were excellent, as always).

Friday- some wandering around, fetching various things to repair my wings, attempts to find people, the arrival of the eternally bouncey Maisey. Fix wings (barely) with generous length of maribou trim, a dozen safety pins, and some nail polish. Paint shoulders, lips, eyelids green, spray glitter on, wiggle into latex, off to the Spa! Meet Honeythorn and Bete Noir, many hellos and greetings and bits of conversation. Resurex put on great show (musically reminiscent of Misfits, but more tuneful). Christian Death, not so much- clearly booked based on past fame, not current lineup's talent. SPECIMEN! Fuckyeah. Great gig, right at the front, singing along when I can remember the words. Get the name of the lady who made Johnny Slut's latex outfit, and kisses from him for buying the dodgy remixed 12". Home late, pass out around 4.30am. Good Halloween has been had.

Saturday- running around in the manner of a headless chicken, drinks in Elsinore, Little Angel. New cane acquired- black with gold detailing. Steampunk meetup. Remember to eat! Home, force self into black pvc underbust corset, tighten to 23" waist over white shirt and black jeans. Wear top hat and bring cane for Ringmaster effect. Beauty of Gemina still appear to be fronted by a precision-engineered Swiss cyborg, but have improved since last live performance. Miss getting anything signed by Hussey- the queue for signing was cut off after the person *right* in front of me. VOLTAIRE! Goddamn excellent, very lively, lots of singing along, some new converts to his stuff. Is kind enough to sign my cane as well as my poster. WAYNE HUSSEY! Ohyes, excellent set. Was expecting backing musicians, but was just him, his guitar, his piano and his bottle of wine. Amazing presence, great banter with audience, incredible voice. Encore in the form of a medley of songs, including Evangeline. Socialise, till Maisey suggests going and helping pack up the EyesWideShut stall so he can advertise his band at the Mission's manager. This helpful eagerness is smiled upon and we are brought backstage, where Maisey continues to be enthusiastic and a slightly drunken Wayne Hussey flirts with the youngest and least attached female in the room (myself). On the one hand- oooh, flattered that such a talented musician is taking such an interest in little fangirling me. On the other- naughty married man! Shouldn't kiss girls so much younger than him, particularly not with inappropriate levels of tongue. Home, pass out around 5am.

Sunday- Goth football! We lose 4-1, of course, but put up a better fight than last time. My program is one of the 100 with the special edition Real Gothic FC compilation with Wierd Emotion football anthem and tracks by Rome Burns, Manuskript/ Kuato and Pretentious, Moi? Must listen to it at some point. Win Fetishman mug in the raffle afterwards, and win CDs for Maisey. Spend money I shouldn't in making sure he gets back to Leeds in time for Monday morning. Quiet night in, practicing DJ skills on the offchance anyone lets me near a sound system.

Monday- Museum of Victorian Science! Massively entertaining and educational establishment. Tiny little shed, filled to the roof with all kinds of incredible and archaic bits of equipment, all in full working order and demonstrated as we watched. Normal museums just don't give that interactive edge. So many absolutely amazing things. Makes me remember why I love home made static generating devices. Beach party in the evening- Myself, my sweeties, and my bottle of cherry brandy watch the Maffball game (douse toilet rolls in kerosene. Light. Throw at each other. Try not to go on fire too much. Play in underwear if desired. Chase other players with handfuls of flaming toilet paper. Roll if you get tangled in fiery loo roll. Continue till kerosene or loo roll runs out, or ambulance is called). No major injuries, some minor burns victims. Share brandy with person, person turns out to be long-time online contact. Drink tea and talk to person till 6am at person's guest house, stumble home just before dawn, pass out.

Tuesday- up at 9am, finish packing, leave guest house. Lurk in Whitby, in pouring rain, finishing errands. Begin long trip home at about midday. Reach home around 11.45pm. Check email. Pass out.

Wednesday- return to work as usual. Consider unpacking. Oh, it's 11.26pm and I've wasted half the evening typing this up.

It's not in Whitby, it's out in Glaisdale. Pyro had to take us there in his van, and it was £10/head (which isn't mentioned on the site)

HP, why not take your clan to one of the family-friendly festivals in America? There are plenty around.

Did the camera move in a circle around the kissers? If so, I'm never watching that movie! I HATE it when movies do that.

I get to put a nice boy in a corset and tie him up in ribbons like a big birthday present tomorrow.
Times like this are a big part of why I enjoy my life.

My spell check and I are arguing. Is this a complete sentence?

A root protruding from the ground caught Jonah’s foot as he ran, sending him plummeting viciously to the floor.

Try putting "Then" in front of "a root" and rerun spell/grammar check.
