Catch Goth Style

I am so tired of people not knowing how to dress themselves. To correct this problem, I am going to dedicate articles to demonstrate how to do things. This is mainly tips, but I already know one of you jerks will just copy the outfits. However, one day you'll meet someone with the same outfit and you'll be stuck in a conversation about me. (It isn't a threat. It's a promise.)

First edition and video of Catch Goth Style:

You're so tired of people not looking like what you think is good that you are going to waste a bunch of time writing articles and making videos proving that, in both appearance and action, you are a complete douche bag?

Good Job.

I think it sucks coherent speech into the darkness as well. I am at a complete loss for words in response to that...

I wouldn't call it secret, I'd rather call it obvious.

Thumbs down

I'm sorry but that was completely terrible! Firstly your outfits looked horrible; how can you instruct others on how to dress if you cannot dress yourself? And secondly, what were you doing?! It looked like you were trying to erotic dance!! LOL! So furthermore, it was absolutly terrible be I would never take advice from you.
P.S. Your stomach was showing.

to be honest, I don't think that the video was all that great. If you are trying to instruct people on how to dress goth, you failed miserably.

I have a couple serious questions.

What is it about the gothic subculture that,

A. attracts fat, ugly people.

B. makes those fat, ugly people think that, since they're goth, they are now fashion divas, instead of the fat, ugly people they really are.

C. (relating to Catch's blog) makes talentless hacks think they can draw/paint/write/sing, when really, they're just talentless hacks.

Fucking Jesus. WHY do fat, ugly teenagers think wearing their mums old clothes make them look cool? Even my 12yr old sat her pissing herself laughing at that video. You would look more goth in a black bin bag, with another over your head, pulled tightly.

I can't remember where I read it, so I can't credit the author properly but I think the explanation is close to the truth:

In Western culture, the self esteem of children is raised up, so that mediocre academic performance, or even substandard performance ("he/she is a misunderstood genius!") is praised, and insults or even justified constructive criticism is discouraged as it might "damage their self esteem".

So when these individuals grow up, their egos let them think they can do anything.

In Asian cultures, humility is emphasized, with the result that students achieve high marks and succeed in many areas of life outside of school.

I think it was somewhere here on Gnet I read that. Might explain this thread.

In other words, we're doing Catch a favor by insulting her, because it will allow her to avoid further embarrassment later in life?

See guys, I'm really a nice guy, in disguise!

To feed, or not to feed the exhibitionist, that is the question. *sigh* I´ve been trying to avoid posting in this thread since I discovered it this morning, but alright then, I give in.

Girl. You do need someone to have a look at your head, from the inside. Seriously. I will gladly admit to being an exhibitionist myself, but ye gods, there is a limit that even I won´t cross. You just... *speechless* That. Is. Fucking. Ugly. Period.

Insteading of quoting everyone I will address things one-by-one:

I don't own any cats. In fact, I will not own any animals because it takes away their freedom. It is like owning uniks.

As pointed out in the beginning of the article, if you could dress yourselves, without using prefab outfits, I wouldn't write the article. My stomache is showing to show the details of the skirt.

Thank you for calling me a teenager.

I don't mind the insults so much, because the articles are largely insulting you. However, you don't seem to notice all that much.

That was beautiful darling, and I will be sure to check back again.

Don't mind the haters. They only make you famous. They're jealous because you're getting out there, doing your thing, and they sit at home doing NOTHING and just being bitter about it.

Keep on doing what you're doing Catch. Its fab.

I will make no comment on the outfits or the article because I don't want to insult anyone, but I WILL say one thing: if you're gonna make videos showcasing anything at all, stand OPPOSITE a window or in a brightly lit room. I almost couldn't see anything but a silhouette.
