A Black Dress

Me and my boyfriend were chatting last night about the future and we came across the topic of marriage.

Since he and I are both Goths we've decided if we ever do tie the knot we'll both wear black clothes and black make-up.

If you were to get married would you wear black?

A lot of my friends say it symbolises mourning.

Opinions.....

I got married on Halloween in Vegas, dressed in a black velvet dress. Black, traditionally does represent mourning in Western countries. However, in some Asian countries white represents mourning. Just wear whatever you want to wear.

I got married in a courthouse *Cries* I wore red and black though.

I remember a show on tv called something like strange weddings. The couple was goth. The had the ceremony at night in a cemetery. Everyone wore black, even the priest. They had his robes specially made. It was a little over the top, but it looked really nice.

I just recently got married in a courthouse... and both my husband and I were wearing black. We are going to have an actual ceremony when he gets back (he has to go halfway around the world to help out family for a bit) but i'm pretty sure i will still decide on a black dress.

I wore white. Although my dress was heavily modified by myself.

Your dress was so pretty, wolfie. I remember when you posted pictures of it.

When I get married, I want my dress to be white. Not because I don't think I'm teh uuber-goth (I totally am guys...), but because wearing all white is pretty, and I wear a lot of detailed painted eye make-up, so wearing all white sort of accents my eyes. I like to use the eye-liner to draw tiny little lines and dots, and if I'm wearing a really dark outfit, it doesn't stand out as well.
But back to wedding dresses.... white, yes. With black, I'd be scared that there would be lint on it or something .

* I was thinking the same about my wedding ... Try black roses they will look very cute!
* And about the dress and make up - DO IT! – Don’t ask, after all is your wedding, you and your partner should enjoy it! So be creative do what you like!
