Surgery to Increase Largest Breasts Could Kill Model

A model who holds the world record for having the largest breasts, is now fighting for her life after a surgery to make them even bigger goes wrong.

According to a report on TheSun.com, Brazilian model Sheyla Hershey, 30, undeerwent the surgery in June to add to her record breaking size 38 KKK bust.

BEFORE THE SURGERY:


TheSun.com report says Hershey has been struggling to breath and bed-ridden since the surgery. She was forced to have emergency surgery on Tuesday to repair the damage suffered in the surgery performed last month. Doctors say Hershey contracted a staph infection during the June surgery and were expected to remove her impants. The report says each breast contained an entire gallon of silicone.

Ben - Seriously, WTF?!? As if those freakishly mammoth globes weren't big enough to get someone's attention before? This woman , and her plastic surgeon(s), have some freaking issues.

I sincerely hope her boobs don't kill her.

I've never ever understood women like that. Neither before, nor after my reduction surgery.

I'm not at all surprised that something went wrong; that's just highly unnatural; the body can only take so much modification!

Well, when you undergo breast augmentation surgery 9 TIMES, I would suspect the odds of something going wrong have gone up dramatically. I think the doctors in Brazil that allowed this behaved immorally to the verge of criminality, but this woman has such a bizarre problem. There's a video at the second link I posted from "The Insider" television program where a well respected U.S. plastic surgeon was trying to dissuade her from having the latest surgery ... and you can just see she isn't listening to reason.

I found this uploaded at the Huffington Post (and clearly this was before she had the surgery complications), and the biographical material from the woman's own website has me scratching my head even more.

World's Biggest Breasts: Sheyla Hershey Sets Record With 38KKK Bust

28-year-old Sheyla Hershey of Brazil is the proud owner of the world's largest breasts -- with a staggering, life-threatening, and unfortunately-named bra size of 38KKK.

In May, ABC News reported that Hershey's breasts were 34 FFF after eight surgeries and one gallon of silicone. But she wasn't done yet. On her way to achieving her dream, she encountered certain roadblocks, like Texas law. The state limits the amount of silicone that one person put in their body because the implants could kill her. So she headed to Brazil, which has no such restrictions, and walked away with the breasts of her dreams.

Sheyla takes her craft seriously in that she has had over 18 plastic surgeries, mostly to her breast, but also her nose, lips and buttocks. She is currently at a breast size of KKK. For this, she has been awarded with the Brazilian equivalent of the Guinness Book of World records award.

Sheyla has interest in various aspects of entertainment. Among having her own record label in Brazil, these interests have allowed her to participate with a Philippine band, attend acting school and various auditions for other endeavors.

She has appeared on national television shows, Fox News and The Insider. She has appeared on NBC's The Last Comic Standing and will be making appearances in upcoming movies. Her career is just taking off and about to soar to heights of majestic proportions.

I think that last line is ironic in several ways at this point, one being that (as this picture that was included with that article indicates) she has no sense of proportion:

As one commenter on that page put it, she'd have to be 17 feet tall for those breasts to look like they were proportioned correctly for her body.

I did have to laugh when I read another comment though - "Oh look, they found Jessica Rabbit!" - It was a guilty, self-hating laugh, but I couldn't help it.

So, after reading that she's mastered 5 languages, I'm even further mystified as to how a person who's smart enough to accomplish that finds herself in this situation.
