Yes, I am coming to this thread extremely late indeed. Oh well.
Daily I wear foundation, black eyeliner (often in silly designs, always with lines out to about my temples) and lipstick. The colour of the lipstick varies depending on what I'm wearing, but is usually dark purple. I occasionally wear eyeshadow if it matches my outfit and I can be bothered.

I normally wear foundation (avon personal match in Ivory. Decent stuff, but it's their palest shade and matches my skin. Kinda sad, cuz I don't consider myself pale) and pencil eyeliner, but occasionally I'll randomly put on liquid eyeliner (love the stuff to death; L'oreal of some sort) and eyeshadow (l'Oreal again, tray of four greys. I bawled for an hour and a half once and it barely moved). Perhaps lipstick if I don't mind being a careful eater that day. Pencil eyeliner works very well for lipliner, and when combined with red, it makes a very rich near-black.
Sorry, I've been dying to list off my makeup habits since I refound this thread.

Well the first one is just eye-liner and mascare, so basically the same, but with less definition around the eyes. (I'm not taking anymore photos today.)

nell05, generally, a foundation that is a shade paler than your natural skin color is safe.
I've never worn foundation myself. I always just wear eyeliner (stick) and mascara. I've worn black and red lipstick on occasion, though it never looked right because of my facial hair. My moustache is gone and I'm thinking my goatee may follow suit, so maybe I'll experiement.
A question about foundation and other cover-all makeups: When you blend it down your neck, how do you keep it off of your shirt, coat, scarf, and whatever else you may have near your neck? It would seem to be impossible with your collar and such rubbing up and down all day and night.

It isn't completely possible to avoid, alas, but I find that it helps to put a single layer of tissue over the makeup on your neck, then powder vigorously over the top with a brush dipped in loose powder. It seems to damp down the foundation and set it without making too much of a mess. (Another option is to use mineral water sprays; but I'd rather drink the water, personally.)

"Powder vigorously over the top." Over the top of what? If you mean put powder over the tissue, wouldn't the powder get all over your shirt?

Ah, apologies for not being clear. Do all of this before you put your shirt on, for starters. And I did indeed mean powder over the tissue. If you use a single layer of tissue, just enough powder comes through to set your makeup without getting excess powder everywhere.
As an aside, I always, always put my makeup on before dressing... ever since I spilt an entire bottle of foundation all over my clothes one sad morning...

Hmm, maybe I'll try that sometime. But if I get anything on my collar, it's your ass. ;-P

make-up
okay, the bare minerales make-up is awesome and it works wonders for sensative skin, like mine. I try not to go overboard, like lots of people do, in the make-up department. I normally just wear mascara and foundation. Sometimes, I throw in some eyeshadow for fun, and lip gloss/stick. But, I have a darker skin tone so, I don't wear pale make-up.

Darker skin, just like very pale skin can be a problem. The make-up industry seems to believe that all people have skin that is about 5 shades of color.
Have you looked at some of the other mineral make-ups. Some of them are even more sensitive skin friendly.
Remember to clean your brushes and sponges frequently to prevent contamination by bacteria.

I feel like I've come late to the party. ^_^
Now the question is, what do you do when your skin is too pale? I don't want the nasty cakey white crap for everyday use, I want a nice foundation to keep everything looking smooth and less zitty, but there's no selection in my skin color.
The closest thing I found was called "transluscent" and it didn't hide anything.
I'm almost feeling desperate enough to go outside and pick up a layer of instant skin cancer (joke), but I'd rather just have a foundation that matches.
Anyone know of an online site I could order something like that?
