How Do You Keep Your Blacks Looking Their Blackest?
I don’t have this problem often (because most of my clothes are dry-clean) but occasionally when I wash my black clothes they’ll fade. Usually I don’t put them in the dryer for fear that they will fade, so what I have been doing is letting them hang outside and dry in sun. I’m now begging to think that the sun is bleaching my clothes. I don’t know what I am doing wrong, any tips and or suggestions?

The sun is bleaching your clothing. Hang them on a line inside, or use a dryer. Also, try using cold water to wash them instead of warm water.
I've heard that there's a detergent for black clothes, but I don't know much about it.

Yeah, it's called Woolite Dark. It's cleverly distinguished from the rest of their products by a black cap on the bottle. Haven't tried it, but it's worth a shot.
I've used black dye to freshen up my black clothing; it works ok. I was already dying clothes anyway, so I threw a couple of faded items in with the wash. RIT will do the job. You just want to pay attention to your fabric, and follow the necessary instructions.

Just like Cryptickisses said, RIT will do good. It lasts longer, I use it. I find it very cheep too. The only thing I don't like it for is it goes over shirts with words and stuff on it if I want them to be the color they are.
I haven't been able to find any RIT dye though now that I've moved, any good stores I could get it from? I only knew my local fabric store where I used to live, but I can't get there now.

Wash them in the blood of virgins.
Failing that, washing and drying them turned inside out will help, as will hanging them in the shade. There are a few 'for black clothes' detergents available here in Australia... I don't know where you live, though. Another option is just using soap flakes... not pieces that you crumble off a bar of soap, but boxes of old fashioned soap flake detergent, like LUX Soap Flakes... they are a lot more gentle than normal detergent.

What I do is wash them in cold water with color detergent and then hang them in my room to dry. It will take all day for them to dry, but they stay black.
Besides, sometimes faded black clothing adds character to your wardrobe. ^__^

This is what I do. Works quite well, but be prepared for more of a rusty brown colour than the blackest of black.

I used to dye my clothes but now I'm worried that the dye will stain the sink. So now I just wash them with cold water and hang them in my bathroom. That keeps my clothes black.

I wash them in the pit of my soul. It also removes lint.

Wash your clothing in cold water, the black wash will only work if the clothing has not faded, and having a washing line somewhere either in the shade or in my case under the carport. Yes its in a weird spot along with a wine storage spot thing down there as well O.o

I don't, which is my problem.. -somberly pokes faded black jacket-
I'd use black dye/detergent/etc for my pretty black clothing, however 99% of my black clothing has another color mixed in somewhere, where dyes would ruin it.. I do wash my clothes in cold water, but that really doesn't help much..
