sorry about that i went back to edit the post as to why i hate them but the time ran out so ok.....all there music sounds the same and i think there music is so preteen...(thats just my feeling about it).....they have alot of sound samples in there songs so why even need a band...all they need is the singer rapper and Dj guy....and i find that guys voice the lead singer annoying but not as annoying as the lead singer of Coheed And Cambria......and Xng Babe you need to clam down...i love you but your to wound up

Linkin Park have their moments. sometimes it fits a mood. for the most part they're too repetitive. some of their material is good for blaring in your car while flying down the road. i like a few of their songs. I use to be a much bigger fan when they were new. but they really turned me off when they did reanimation. that cd just blows. if i'd actually baught it i would have demanded a refund for what i paid PLUS monetary reparations for the time i spent listening to it that i'll never get back. I do give them props tho for "My December" - probably the best song they've done, i.m.o., and Mike Shendoa did a good job with DM's "Enjoy The Silence - Reinterpreted".

I sort of like Linkin Park. Some of their lyrics really seem to fit with my mood when I'm upset, and their older cd was good, but after that it seemed to go down hill. Everything sounds the same now, maybe I'm getting out of the 'preteen' phase in music, but I don't know. Every now and again I'll put their cd on, but not too much anymore. Just not my style, I suppose.

...I tried. Is it enough defending my side of it...? It's like one in the morning, so if not, cut me a break (If it is, then horray -- I function without sleep)

I prefer Linkin Park to most popular rock bands nowadays. I'll listen to them if they're on the radio, but that's about it.

About once a month, I break out one of their CDs. I listen to it once and wonder why I don't listen to them more often. I listen to it twice and remember why.

I think they are ok. The lyrics used to have a bit of a meaning for me.
Further they make great study music, relatively loud, but not loud enough to take your head over and get your parents to disturb you every 5 minutes. And yes, it's also a bit repetitive, so it doesn't make you really want to listen to it profoundly.

No.........just no. I’m not in middle school anymore so I don’t fancy the likes of frat boy music. Ugh, I actually remember when they came out and thought, "Wow some people managed to be lamer than Limp Bizkit and Korn." Gross, so much for forgetting crappy music of the late 90's. (Yes, I know they were around before the late 90's, but it was their last dance in the spotlight.)

It's not that I 'm so ubery and only listen to goth bands. For me to appreciate music it has to be artfully composed or at least be more than mindless asswipe complaints. Something you wouldn’t mind listening to and is worthy to be thought of as special. Bands like Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins and Interpol are pretty decent. I don’t like them that much but I wouldn’t puke all over myself while listening to them, so they are fairly respectable. Linkin Park doesn’t qualify as any of that. Their music (or whatever you’d call it ) is simply for the masses of mundanes.

Although linkin park are rather "empty" they do better then some of the crappy bands such as Limb Bizkit! the people you should really hate are Mcfly, Busted and shit like that!

Absolutely beautiful, GeishaGirl. Also, Demonista_Ravenesque, you hit it on the head.

Though, I admit, I was one of those angsty emo teens who bought it back then. Oops!

I promise I went through penance after that.

I like some angsty-emo-teen music, but I REALLY hated Linkin Park. They had some of the right words, but there wasn't really any deeper meaning. It was like Britany Spears singing about...well anything really. I've always thought they were/are sell-outs who have nothing better to do but suck each others butts.
