My introduction....

Hello everyone. I'm new here so I figured I'd share a little about myself. So here goes...

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I had a job but I quit. I was a saleswoman. I stood outside in the middle of winter, going door to door, trying to get people to buy the products I was selling(which happened to be internet, cable, and phone services). The pay was commission-based. I quit for that reason and because I felt I wasn't being honest to people. I heard from several customers that they were in a legally-binded contract with said company to keep the same prices for a year. But the company increased the price within the first few months. I'm a very honest person. I just can't lie to people, even to survive. It's just not my thing.

One hobby of mine is writing poetry, stream of consciousness style. I'm currently getting into Rozz Williams/Christian Death(No. I actually didn't mention that for the Goth cred.). His writing is deeply personal. He just writes what he feels and that appeals to me very much. I believe in a very unstructured approach to creating art.

Another hobby of mine is using my poetry as song lyrics and trying . I have a tinsy-weensy bit of a good singing voice and the process of singing and writing is

2. Where are you from?
New York State. The boredom capital of the world.

3. Who is your favorite author?
Currently it's Marjane Satrapi (the Persepolis series) and Philip Pullman(His Dark Materials trilogy).

4. What are your favorite films?
Currently it's Grindhouse Presents Quentin Tarantino's Deathproof, Grindhouse Present's Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, and Dirty Dancing.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I never really thought of it. Probably Faith and the Muse.

6. At your funeral?
N/A

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
As painlessly as possible.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
I never really thought of it...But since this is a Gothic website, I would like to have a black casket. All nice and shiny so I can see my face in it.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Anything that includes lace or enough obnoxiously loud and bright colors to make me stand out from everyone else, especially other Goths.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
The innocence and the ignorance.

11. What's your favorite band?
Faith and the Muse, Switchblade Symphony, and Cinema Strange.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I've been to college. I'm going back.

13. Why did you join?
I recently had a fallout with my family. It's one I should have expected. And did. I'm just here to meet people. Hopefully i'll get to meet a lot of new people in person. But I can handle having a pen pal or ten.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female.

Scratch this:

The gramatically approved version:
Let's just say I love singing. I try to use the stuff i've written as the basis for songs or whatever. Singing is very important to me and expressing myself in my writing.

You seem cool. Ducky's our resident mascot. I've never heard him say much pertaining to goth culture, but that isn't to say I haven't heard much from him. Deathproof was OK but Planet Terror was amazing.

Hello.

How weird. I used to have a bit of a sales job, too. I really don't appreciate how some companies present the product/service one way, and then fail to follow up with it. You'd think they lacked all integrity.

Oh, wait...

Anyway, welcome aboard. I'm new here as well, and no one has bit me yet. Hope you enjoy your stay.
