I was contemplating making a coffin-table for a woodwork project to raise my average marks.

I am drawing up plans for a coffin table especially for you right now!
Along with the coffee table, I might design other things like end tables and bookshelves.

It will look good, but it will be easy to make for a student or anybody that isn't a master craftsman with access to a monster woodshop.

To anybody reading this thread: I like drawing up little diagrams, if you want me to draw something for you, please ask.

The lack of red velvet is a deal breaker.

Okay, here is something for you Jack. It is a simple easy to build coffin shaped coffee table you can build fairly easily. I whipped the drawing up in around a an hour. I hope you like it.

That's actually pretty cool, Opteron, and also very tempting.

Thanks! I think I should redesign it so it is more table like.
It would retain that diamond shape but not function as a chest.
What good is a chest if the lid is covered by magazines and coffee cups I ask you. I am annoyed that I made this complicated. I will draw some new stuff.

Sorry, I get obsesive with my own handywork.

Giving it pull-out drawers would be helpful, but that gets more complicated.

Hmm, the problem with the article is it doesn't give a link to the place that sells the coffin couches. Does anyone know who sells them?

They're interesting, but I wouldn't get one even if they were cheap.

The cow hide one is rather amusing.

Quite morbid yet elegant at once. Elevates the common casket to a work of decorative art. Thank you for sharing this!

There is a bottle of vampire wine advertised on that site that can come in a coffin itself. I was surprised to see it, my mother's best friend brought a bottle of that randomly over to our belated new years eve party. It actually didn't taste too terribly bad, and so far, I've not found many wines that I would partake of.

They look really cool and would be ok to sit on but because the back is so low I doubt it would be a very comfy couch
