Oh man... is the "What is Goth?" question still being argued? Don't believe everything, even if it comes out of a published book concerning the gothic subculture. I have my own views and after all of these years (and I mean many, many years), I've noticed that everyone that has been a goth or notagoth has different definitions of what the subculture is about.

It has evolved, though. But, regardless of that... EVERYONE as some sort of individual "belief" as to what being a goth is all about.

Unless it's by Voltaire.

One of my favorite quotes from Voltaire:
I hate women because they always know where things are.

CRAP... I'm sorry... that was a quote from the philosopher, Voltaire, not "Voltaire" the author of "What is Goth BOOK".

I will make stupid mistakes from time to time, but wow... that really, really made me sound ignorant. Ignorance is bliss, but I sure don't feel blissful over this one. :}

Common mistake.

Oh, and I will miss any and all pop-culture/slang references. So don't feel too bad.
