I heard that leaving your hair greasy for a day is healthy for your hair.... WTF?
Is that true?

Depends on what kind of hair you have. If you have oily hair, wash it every day. If you have hair that doesn't get greasy quickly, washing it day-in day-out weakens your hair and you should give it a day of rest, shampoo strips away life from your hair, pretty much, soft and lovely as it may seem.

Leaving hair greasy for a whole week is a good treatment for over-bleached hair.
And regularly washing hair once every TWO days is more than enough. Especially using supermarket varieties of shampoo which often contain rather harsh detergents. You find after washing hair less frequently it doesn't get greasy nearly as fast anyway.

Mine gets greasy after just one day, so i have to wash it everyday.
Sometimes (like once a month) i leave it for more than a day untouched, not even washed to give it a rest.

I wash mine everyday, but I'd say any day you haven't got anywhere to go is a good time to take a break.

Mine is very, very oily. I have to wash it every day with cheap clarifying shampoos, otherwise by the middle of the next day I'll look like I put too much gel in or something. But as JCC said, whenever you don't have anywhere to go it's a good time to take a break.

sort of shorter on top and longer strands falling down, a fringe that I'm trying to grow out, otherwise my hair's half-red, half-purple and a black streak going diagonally across the hair(lol hairdresser thought it'd be a good idea)

I get my hair cut at cheap places like Supercuts...

This is the cut I showed her:

And as you can see that is not at all what I got When I go back to my regular hair stylist I'll ask her if there's a way to make it so my hair eventually grows out that way. I hope she won't be upset I cheated on her.

@Saya, That's not how my hair is... I tried it once, but it looked awful
My hair is short, means that every hair from the back is cut to the same length like the other... Not all hair is cut to A certain level
Spiky-like, but mine is all index-finger long so i can't spike it...
I should really upload some pictures... Umm... I'll check my hi5 now

Yeah I know I'm running the chance it'll look bad, but it seems so neat ^_^ I like having my hair short though, the way it is now drives me crazy but its so much easier to take care of. I should look at short hairstyles and see if anything catches my eye.

My hair is just about neck length. I never comb it and rarely style or do anything with it. I stopped dying my hair a year ago. So now I either have an Einstein/electrocuted hairstyle, or a kind of Russel brand "My hair fought a drill and the drill won" hairstyle, which is often greasy because I have oily hair.

Mine is god-awful right now. I got the horrible idea back in Spring to try growing it out, and it has become a fuzzy frizzy mop. I'm thinking about chopping all back down again to something more along the lines of my current profile pic.

The back of mine is a little past the nape of my neck. It's shorter in the front, but rather asymmetrical, as the right side is cut a lot shorter than the left. I don't really have a hair style right now, this is just from not having a hair cut in months. I don't have much money right now, so I can't do much with it. It's been dyed black, but the roots are showing.

My hair is actually alot prettier now than it used to be. Its about shoulder length, dark brown with natural reddish highlights from being bleached by the sun. I am a full-blooded Native American, so it is pin-strait and gives me issues with a ponytail.
