Yer I've seen a couple of live videos.
My point's that no matter what they call themselves or people call them.
nothing is there musically to distinguish the fact they're a darkwave/synth/industrial dance group.

And that steampunk isn't a subculture.

Yeer.
It's like cosplaying but WORSE.
At least cosplaying doesn't pretend it's a subculture.

I'd say Cosplaying actually qualifies, atleast from what I understand. More so than Steampunk, anyhow. I mean, I have friends who go to cosplay clubs and that.

Yer.
It still doesn't have any real constant points.
Seeing as people cosplay as things from different genres/shows/books.
Personally they both suck.
And neither are subcultures.

Or cool.

The dressing up is about it though.
And people cosplay as other things, not just Anime characters.

True. But from what I understand, a lot of it is based on Japanese stuff. And, as I noted before, there are clubs and events for this sort of thing. Much of the music seems to be AZN and Nerdrock stuff. But hold on. I'm speaking from personal experience. Allow me to Wiki this.

"Cosplay participants ("cosplayers") form a subculture centered around wearing their costumes and reenacting scenes or inventing likely behavior inspired by their chosen sources. In some circles, the term cosplay has been broadened to include simply wearing a costume, without special consideration given to enacting characters in a performance context."

...Granted it's a disputed article.

Hmmm.
That's interesting.
I'll give cosplay more right to being a subculture than steampunk.
But that's just because I hate steampunk more.

Steampunk in terms of clothing can be likened to Cosplay in the sense that people dress up and add acessories to their outfits.

But no one has said it is a subculture or linked it to goth. So why you're getting so pissy about it I really do not know.

Ok so some goths like steampunk as well. Some of them simply like the clothing style, especially those with an interest in Victoriana and time period re-enactments ( these do exist for the Victorian period by the way )

But more than that, people are making things. Not just plastic and brass rayguns to wave about and match your outfit, but actual working objects and decorative curiosities. Because they can. Because they are interested in how such things work / would have worked and how they would look if the Victorians were given the technology to make such things.

THAT is a major component ( no pun intended ) of steampunk.

No , it isn't a subculture, but it is a growing interest. If you don't like it, don't fucking look at it. Hardly rocket science.

Um, back to the original topic, I think.
1. NEVER seriously claim that you are a vampire / undead, unless you are prepared to either provide proof or have the piss taken out of you.
2. If you wear fake vampire teeth, make sure they are definetely not going to fall out. It could lead to some pretty embarassing incidents.
3. If you need prescription lenses, don't wear patterned lenses if it means sacrificing your vision. Either wear glasses over them, or fork out for some prescription patterned lenses.

They look poorly-made, I Wouldn't Be surprised if you did them in 3 minutes. And I'm not just saying this because you were talking shit.

Yes, I did, and they look nothing like wings, more like a heart drawn by a mongoliod.

Besides, I was talking about those tacky ribbons in her ear, they look absolutely awful.

I thought the wings looked pretty good...must have taken a lot of time to do them, and the ribbons are cute. Well so is she so that's prob why.

At least some people take the time to have their hand at DIY..

What can you do?
