It seriously boggles my mind how she walks in them! I would so break my legs in a dozen places!

I also know of someone who has those boots. I'd get them too if they were a knee-high boot. Those are not so bad to walk in. These, however, might pose as a challenge:

I'm sure that they're used more for photo shoots and things like that. Definatley not day-to-day wear lol.
I'm currently having a toss up of what my next pair will be (I get to order a pair for my bday):

http://images.vixensandangels.com/im.../NRmoon72.jpeg

I'm leaning more towards the second pair. I already have a pair with Neptuno soles, but I love the patent leather... which is why I also like the first pair. The third pair is pretty rad too, but I don't have enough grey/silver clothing to coordinate with, though they would look awesome with my hair falls.

I love the look of platform heels, but when I go out, I usually just wear flat platform boots because with them, you really don't have to worry about getting too drunk to keep your balance. They are VERY easy to walk in. Just remember to really watch yourself going up steps at first, because until you get more accustomed to walking in them and remembering that there's such thick soles on there, you could not lift your leg up far enough and trip up the stairs.
I have this boot:
http://www.pennangalan.co.uk/boots/FW104.php
in black leather, black patent leather, and red patent leather. It is one of the most comfy boots ever! The front platform is 2.5" and the back is 3".
I also have these New Rock boots, which are also incredibly comfy and easy to walk in:
http://www.newrockstore.com/zona3/ca...roducts_id=112
Also, the "lift" soles, like transmuters have and some Fantasy(Pennangalan) boots have are quite easy to walk in, despite the 5.5" heel/3" toe.

Woa u have some cool boots! =D Thanks for the tip about walking up stairs

Most of my boots are on a platform sole like in the picture
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n/100_4373.jpg
I find them comfortable if they are flat soles. I can walk in heels, but it becomes painful after a while. As for the weight, they are very light as chelseagirl had mentioned. Just be careful when walking up/down stairs and be extra careful when walking on uneven ground. I've hurt my ankle plenty of times. Took 6 months for my right ankle to heal after a really bad fall. I partially blame the alcohol.

You have an Amazing boot collection!!!

I used to wear black platform boots every day for the whole of last year (although, with their ten cm soles they were nothing compared to those monsters up there ^), and didn't have any trouble with it what so ever - in fact, they're probably some of the most comfy shoes I've ever had. The day I realised they were falling apart was a day spent in mourning before burying them in the trash bin... Now I walk on 11 cm heels every day, and I must say that even though it looks great it really kills my feet at the end of the day.

I wear a pair of Demonia's with a 4 inch platform and I loved them from the moment I walked out of the store with them, I can actually run faster in my boots than I can in a pair of runners.
This is off topic but I need some input, I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out if these are mens boots, womans boots, or unisex, I would probably still buy them if they were womans, just would have to make sure I order the right size...
This is the link for the boot:

One question: ordering from the U.S. is not a problem until I heard about a Customs fee (or duty fee), is that true and how much?

I had those EXACT boots, but in crinkled patent leather! I actually just sold them on ebay (I've been trying to shrink my insane boot/shoe collection). I wear a US women's size 9/US men's size 7, and mine were a size 40. They fit my size 9/7 foot very well, with enough room to wear socks with them. The calf area on those boots is a bit larger than most lace up knee high boots I've had, and is also soft and padded inside, making them quite comfy. I would definitely say that they are unisex boots, but after wearing them a few times, I decided they weren't feminine enough for my tastes, which is why I sold them. I think they definitely would look good on a guy, especially the matte leather. I hope that helped you out somewhat.
Saddition: I really like the 2nd pair. One thing I've noticed over the years is that matte leather just plain lasts longer. With patent leather, no matter how good quality it is, it WILL eventually start cracking where it bends (mainly on the very back, above the heel). I LOVE patent too, but tend to stick with leather most of the time. That second pair looks like they are mostly leather, with patent only on the front...that seems like a really good idea for the longevity of the boots.

It really all depends on the seller. Before you buy, ask the seller if they will send it as a 'gift'. Also see if they can send it via USPS rather than UPS (since UPS has brokerage fees). I've never had to pay duty on any of my incoming items, so I'm not sure what the cost would be if duty was applicable.
Those boots are roughly $500-$600CAD btw.

If you order direct from New Rock, your boots will probably be shipped from their store/warehouse that is in your country. I know when I ordered from New Rock's webstore ( www.newrockstore.com), my boots were shipped from their store in California.

I don't think we have a New Rock store in Canada. I think that they would be shipped from Las Vegas.

If anyone is interested, I know a guy who has about 150 pairs of New Rocks that he got from a store closing inventory, I believe. He's looking to sell them. If anyone's interested, let me know, and I can post pics of what he has.

I wear 7-inchers on occasion. For the sake of my ankles, I'm more comfortable in 4's.

It did help enough, and upon checking the sizing charts I realized that they are in fact in womens sizes, and of course I will be definately buying these shoes in a week or two.

Shipping from the UK can be rather costly. Just keep that in mind.

Why is it that the best boots are from the UK? That makes me really sad.
