Makeup is empowering... I assume the feeling I get when my make up is perfect is similar to what a man experiences when he wears a power suit and tie.

Women who don't wear any makeup scare me.

hi miamore thats your opinion. I just like not to wear make-up because I rather let people see what and who I am then worrying what I look like. but ya when I do put on make-up it can be empowering to me too sometimes.

I don't think makeup necessarily hides and lies about who one is. It can certainly be used as an expression of who one is. It can be a way to show off one's aesthetic tastes.

It can also be a way to plaster fail all over your face, but... meh.

You will have to excuse my error, I should have been more clear. I was talking about the women who never wear makeup.

I work with a few women like this. They have frizzy hair and they always have on outdated suits. They never go for manicures. Their overall appearance is just messy. They are the real freaks if you ask me.

no I'm not like that, I would love too wear make-up all the time but because of my job, volunteer work and because I work every day since I got a job in my town, plus my product don't hold well against my life style.
and a lot of people don't like me here and I've been bullied in the past.so my self confidence is pretty low to wear make-up products too

You mean there are people who actually don't place enough importance on the way they look to iron or curl their hair and pay strangers to mess with their fingernails?!

THOSE BITCHES

The amount of time spent procuring a manicure is the only true barometer of social worth that we have left.

I go without makeup only at home, even if havign it on or not makes no difference. It's more a psycological thing for me, though usually I just wear powder/foundation and eyeshadow/liner plus mascara.

I have not worn eyeliner on a regular basis in months. I am more drawn to the clean, perfectly paled out look on me as I have gotten older and am saving the eye paint for nights out.
