Withnail & I

Whilst I hesitate to use terms like "best movie ever"... I can't think of a better one. Of its kind, it's absolutely perfect. The dialogue is brilliant, the performances are flawless and every actor seems made for their part. It's true, it's tragic, it's fucking hilarious, and its message is ultimately one I find very moving.

Seriously, name a better movie of its own kind. I dare you. I fucking WISH you could.

One of my favourite ever films. I can't name a single bad thing about it.

Richard E Grant is perfectly cast in that film. Absolutely flawless performance.

He is brilliant, isn't he? Literally every word out of his mouth is hilarious, starting when we just hear him saying, "No" behind a closed door in the first scene, right up until the last, where he rips your heart out and shoves it through your colon.

Seriously, anyone who can make the words, "All right here?", when entering a tearoom funny is all right with me. His performance in this film is genius.

One of my favourite scenes is when he drinks the lighter fluid and then declares that there is antifreeze in the toolbox. I almost weep with laughter at it.

Oh, Monty is so tragic. I find that part really moving. Been known to make me tear like a girl when drunk.

Yeah, Monty does make me a little teary eyed on occasion. It's just such a brilliant film overall though, well cast and fantastically scripted.

EDIT: Monty made me gush like a teased vagina the first time I watched the film. Totally tragic yet wonderfully funny at the same time.

Someday, I will visit, and we shall sit in that tearoom and snipe at each other over the finest wines available to humnity.

Yes!!!! Every time I hear, "You should never mix your drinks", that pops into my head and I smirk obnoxiously.
