Hey bluey-green-vein, is that Andi Sexgang in your avatar?
If so perhaps you should post an introduction thread so we can see what other awesome stuff you're into. And show us your deathhawk! Johnny Slut lookalikes are always welcome here as far as I'm concerned.

wow thanks! means alot to me
if only other people liked it as much

my school lets me get away with alot of goth stuff
its against the rules to wear jewelry, make up, and black shirts and socks
i break all those rules and the teachers dont care at all (except i have to wear a white shirt, which is fine cause i have my joy division shirt)

Woah, you're part Malaysian? Cool. I lived there for 10 years.

Anyway keep up the awesome hair and Slut-esque style. We need more people who look like him now that he's uh, altered his look somewhat.

I've decided to get a braided faux hawk and am wondering if anyone has any ideas for what pattern of cornrows I should get? I was thinking something more on the artsy side, but I don't want it so complicated that my hair stylist can't do it in less than 8 hours (I've had to sit for 18 hours at one point because I have so much hair, lol).

The style would pretty much be J*DaVey with braids where she shaved, and the rows would end with some darker wavy extensions.

Possible pattern:

Overall concept, minus straight rows and length:

J*DaVey:

I'm still not sure if I would have the hair relaxed and flat ironed or if I would let it keep a bit of curl like in the third J pic.

Keep it curly to begin with. If you decide you want to straighten it, there's nothing stopping you.

Wow. Looks amazing. I´ve never seen a braided faux hawk before - they don´t seem very usual around here. But that really looks cool.

I have a braided faux hawk. Can't show pictures of it though, since I'm to new.

I had a plan to braid my sides for a deathhawk before I cut my sides off. I was going have them ending at the back finished off with pewter skull beads. Might consider it again when my sides grow out, which I'm currently doing for the sake of cutting my deathhawk again in a different shape.

Oh my GOD!
I just saw pictures of my mohawk half a year ago

I miss it. Now it's too long to always have a mohawk.
I'm going to cut it back. Make it short. Be able to use it always, or most of the days at least.

Dude, if you try making a very stiff type of gel to keep it up for about a week (ex: Knox, strong hairglue and hairspray combinations, etc) then any length should be fine. I know when I used to spike my hair back around your age, the hawk would stay up for a week or so, then I'd wash it really well, make it nice and soft, pamper it for a day or two to keep it alive and well, then up it went. I used a combination of strong hair glue and really strong hairspray. Worked well.
