I'm getting the 314's instead of the 272-2's. I'm too impatient
They should be here around the beginning of July. I'll try and order the 272-2's in the fall sometime. Hopefully they will be instock.

I'm too girly to wear any of those boots pictured, but hell, they are NICE. I just have a pair of fetish retro plat forms. And boots that lace up to the knee. Like I said, I'm very girly.

I love the look of platform heels, but when I go out, I usually just wear flat platform boots because with them, you really don't have to worry about getting too drunk to keep your balance. They are VERY easy to walk in. Just remember to really watch yourself going up steps at first, because until you get more accustomed to walking in them and remembering that there's such thick soles on there, you could not lift your leg up far enough and trip up the stairs.

I have this boot:
http://www.pennangalan.co.uk/boots/FW104.php
in black leather, black patent leather, and red patent leather. It is one of the most comfy boots ever! The front platform is 2.5" and the back is 3".

I also have these New Rock boots, which are also incredibly comfy and easy to walk in:

Also, the "lift" soles, like transmuters have and some Fantasy(Pennangalan) boots have are quite easy to walk in, despite the 5.5" heel/3" toe.

OoOOOO i like your boots im stuck wearing these http://www.boot.com/WescoCombatBootLarge.jpg

I GOT MY BOOTS! They arrived on wednesday and I wore them last night to the Chimera (our local scene). They're so comfortable and worth the investment for footwear. I just love them! These buggers are bigger than I thought.

I was hoping to show Saddiction, sadly that she wasn't at the Chimera. hmmmm .

I was there, but I left at around 11pm. You must have got there pretty late. You should post photos of the boots.

Ah, my apologies, you must have left just before I got there,. It was a little after 11pm when I got there, I had to do a few things before my daughter's birthday on friday (I hate doing things at the last minute ).

Sorry about that, I figured you would still be there when I got there.

I should have no prob posting pics of them once I can borrow my daughter's camera.

Very nice! I also got a pair of reactors. They look just like yours, except mine are patent leather. I wanted the silver/black reactors but they didn't have my size :'(

Niiiiccceee. I thought about those ones myself, I thought the leather look was more suitable on me. I still can't believe how comfortable they are.
Btw, do you get a 'NRB' keychain with yours?

Now I'm thinking of getting a pair of the 12 inch high ones of the same style in a few months.

I'm assuming you mean the huge neptune soles (the really 'spensive ones)? New Rocks come with a keychain and extra laces

It's actually illegal to drive in heels, platforms and flipflops because you can't feel how hard you're pressing on the accelerator and such things.

I knew a well creepy guy who asked me about crushing bugs in platforms and then asked me to step on his delicate man areas because my platform heels were so..."sexy" (I declined as it was in the middle of a club) *shifts eyes* we have a crushing fetishist in our midst. Don't buy in to his supposedly..."innocent" questions.
He wants to touch himself to our answers!!!!!!!!!!!

I've driven in my 7" platforms. I've never encountered an issue, nor did I find it difficult.

In the UK I SWEAR it's illegal to drive in certian shoes...or have people been lying to me.

Well, it's unadvised to drive in heels, big boots, Doc Martins etc for various reasons.

If you can do it though, i'm impressed. lol.

I don't live in the UK. Furthermore, how is something like that enforced? I think the police have better things to do than randomly stop people to check out what they're wearing on their feet.

Doc Martins are not considered big boots. In what way would they be unadvised? Just curious.

I don't know how it's enforced atall, I think someone has been lying to me. I was thinking about how they would enforce it, it sounded abit stupid, so i'm assuming it's just unadvised.

When my mum was taking driving lessons, her instructer didn't allow her to wear her DMs because the thickness of the soles meant she would find it harder to feel the amount of pressure she was putting on the accelerator and brakes. Also, a guy I know carries his new rocks in the car and drives with trainers on, because the soles of his boots are so thick and heavy he finds it harder to drive, again because he can't really feel the amount of pressure he's putting on the acceletator. Also, his driving instructor wouldn't allow him to wear them whilst he was learning.

If you're an experienced driver and can do it, I don't see a reason why you can't, I think alot of people do seem to have trouble driving in boots/shoes with thick soles and platorms though.

The soles of DMs are not that thick. Same goes for some styles of New Rocks. Instructors can't expect people to have a pair of balarina flats to wear when they are behind the wheel. That's just silly, in my opinion. As far as applying pressure to the accelerator/brake goes, that's also silly. The speedometer will obviously tell you if you need to ease up or speed up. That's what it's for.

My mum never passed her test just because she's crap at driving, lol. So, DMs or not she would have failed.

This guys new rocks are pretty hefty though, I think I would have a hard time driving in them if I did drive. It's probably better to drive without them on if it means you feel safer. If you're confident enough to drive with them on and know you are safe...I don't see the issue with wearing them whilst driving.

I don't know, I don't drive, never even tried to learn. I'm just offering explanations.
