The way it was said was condescending towars those particular meat-eaters, I would suggest. The term in general is functionally accurate.

The upside to the blog is the fact that those animals lived natural lives, then died. I'm not going to say people should stop driving cars because of roadkill.

Woo.

I dislike peta, but love their adverts with nekkid boobies and lettuce bikinis.

And if they really wanted to change things, they might do something like take all the money they blow on outrageous campaigns and use it to say, pay the farmers who get paid by the US government NOT to grow crops, and pay those farmers to grow crops and distribute them to people who need them. That way, the can get people into eating more vegetables and grains and what not and at the same time help out the people who need it.

Maybe it’s best if we sharpen some sticks and go get are own food the way things use to be done. But then we have over hunting to think about.

So, back to animals rights. Whats everyone think about this...

http://www.newscientist.com/channel/...25416.300.html

It reminds me of the dolphins they are currently using in Iraq to 'patrol' for underwater mines. Like the monkeys they use in some countries to 'patrol' for land mines.

I'd love to see the read out of a Tuna's brain.

What do these squiggly lines mean?

That means "OH SHIT!", in Tuna.

Where does that come from??

It reminds me tho, of the plot to Soylent Green. Both disgusting and logical. But no, I don't think I'd go for it. For animals tho, yes. Especially at the rate that the human population consumes them. So much waste could be put to much better use. You're never going to stop humans from eating animals, so why not come up with better uses for the parts that are discarded? Native Americans used every possible piece of every animal they killed for food, in whatever way they could think of. I think it's more respectful to the animal too. And to the environment. Of course leather and bone doesn't last nearly as long as metal and plastic, but it doesn't strip the earth of its natural resources either.

Did anyone watch Larry King Live last night? He was interviewing Paul McCartney about the Canadian seal hunt: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP...03/lkl.01.html

I'm from Newfoundland, and the fact that Paul McCartney is campaigning for the end of the seal hunt is causing a lot of fuss here. Even though I don't even like Paul McCartney, I'm with him on this one. There is little demand for anything but the fur, the meat isn't high in demand (Here some people eat seal flipper pie, though I never met anybody that said "I LOVE seal flipper pie"), and we're getting a bad name for the cruel ways seal pups are being killed. We are losing millions on the boycott America has on our seafood because of the seal hunt. I wasn't impressed with Danny William's argument either, he tried to use the fact that the McCartney's are vegans to discredit them, and reminded everyone that Newfoundlanders hosted Americans whose planes landed here on Sept.11.

Anyway, what does everyone else think of the seal hunt?

I saw it
In my opinion, hunting baby seals just so they can make a better fur coat is wrong. Cuteness factor aside,I also feel that bashing them over the head is pretty cruel(And there isn't a need for anything else from them except fur). But I think it's something that is going to happen regardless of how many laws are passed to protect them. Even though I think killing animals expressly to harvest fur is wrong,I still wear leather items for example;and have no problem with it. But again,in my opinion:the seal hunt is wrong.

Absolutely nothing. I was looking for cannibalism imagery and that came up and I was misled into it being an art display.

ANYWAY!

As a supporter of cannibalism, I felt that my views were being neglected by the posting of various meat products, and I thought it only fair to represent my own sense of yummy.
