I'm beginning to think we should divide the gender question into two parts, what is your physical gender, and what is your actual gender. Welcome.

And we should provide hermaphrodite as a choice too.

Welcome Kama.

You know I've never gotten around to tracking them all down but how many gender classifications are there total now? I've got some of them memorized like transexual, homosexual, pansexual, hermaphrodite, asexual, and heterosexual but I know there are a few others out there now.

If it ends with 'sexual', it's technically not a gender classification.

Shouldn't it be intersexed? That's what it's referred to as these days.

Renatus, you have sexual orientation mixed in with several gender-identity terms.
Homo/hetero/pan/bi is describing the people you are attracted to and how/why you are attracted to them, or not attracted to anyone at all (asexual).
Trans is more how you see yourself, who you think you were meant to be. In the case of intersex, there are several different "disorders" that are not simply XX/XY. Intersex is a general term for individuals who aren't exclusively male or female.
Bigender is having both a male presence and a female presence in the same body, hence the other terms "two soul" or "two spirit".

/lots of info crammed into a few sentences

*deep breath*

That clears up a few things, I knew both of the advisor's to my school's GSA but neither of them really knew that much about it, especialy intersex. Though I do know about the whole difference between who you are attracted to and trans, I suppose I should of gotten more detailed about what I knew.
