We are very request friendly- hell, we're just plain old friendly! Make yourself known to me, I'll talk to you and introduce you to my friends. There's lots of silly eighties music as well. Duran Duran, Blondie, Bowie, Tears For Fears etc all get played (usually by my boyfriend).
Tell your friend he can go to Big Red any night, but B&V is only on once a month and thus should be at least tried out. If he's going to Big Red for food, the OKH does food till 9pm.

Do come and visit some time. England may have rising rates of violent chav youths, but other than that it can be really quite charming. We have a nice, healthy goth population and a good wide age range (unfortunately, I'm almost always the youngest in the room)

I'd definitely love to meet you HP. I like you. Always have. *gives you a big hug*

I don't thinks its for the food. Its probably because its more metal/rock oriented I guess. Don't really know, never been there myself. *shrugs* Intrepid Fox is where I usually end up.

The New Fox?
They've got all funny about goths. The old Intrepid Fox welcomed everyone, the new one doesn't seem to like goths- staff don't seem to like people who wear ties, or waistcoats, or lace, or velvet, or... The Dev doesn't give metallers dirty looks, so staff at the Fox should be a bit more welcoming as well! (Not that the Dev's really the Dev anymore.... *le sigh*)

Anyway, sorry... distracted by rant.
It's worth checking out the Old King's Head if you're metal types anyway, as it's a rock pub rather than just a goth pub. They have metal bands on quite frequently and do a variety of different regular nights.

Ha, I get funny looks everywhere. Thats why I don't venture out without someone I know. Haven't seen very many Goths at the Fox. I usually go out to soak the atmosphere and drink weird cocktails I've never heard off before.

Is it a club night tonight or a pub thing?

I still see a little glimmer at the end of the tunnel, so I'll hold out on that.

Why does all the good stuff always happen in London? . It isn't fair I live over 200 miles away so it isn't like I can just pop down on the bus either ! Grrrrrr >.<

If you have seen the size of me Mir, you would know I have no will of any sort. Sadly.

But still, I am screwed. I have no one with which to go to such things. My friends are very very " normal " in their tastes and would not want to go to anything that I would like. There is no way in hell I am wandering the streets of London by day or night. I don't even go to my nearest city at night unless for a gig. I only shop there during the day, and I shop alone!

I am still working up to somehow getting to the Whitby Gothic Weekend. Possibly next year.

What does size have to do with anything?

I do know how you feel though. I have one friend who'd go with me to goth related events. The rest of them are too metalheaded (narrow minded?) to go to such affairs.

Anyway, you should do what you like. Do not let anything dictate what you want to do. If you're ever down in London, give me a shout. I'd be happy to buy you a drink. I'm a very non-judgmental person and that is all I ask for in exchange.

That was a big thing when I was in fifth grade. People kept singing it out of nowhere....

That song REALLY annoys me. For some reason, cheaply made videos don't appeal to me unless they have something that makes me laugh, and sadly that is not one of them.

I got it! We could talk about obscure bands from Sweden or Finland or Japan.................maybe or maybe not. I get about 7 hours of sleep, I get up at 5:00 every morning and watch the BBC/practice bass and then go to school at 7:00 sharp.

Depending on what work I need to do, what I need to study, what's due when, etc, I go to sleep between 1-3 AM and get up at either 5 or 6 in the morning to take care of my siblings when they go to work. Then I wait till the babysitter gets here and I leave for the school bus around 6:55 AM
