Wait, that can't possibly be true. Tuberculosis is a painful and unfortunate condition with no real redeeming value. According to the Romantics/Pre-Raphaelites consumption is basically a ticket to sexy, smart, and awesome.

Surely you can't be saying that paleness as a standard of beauty can be just as sick and wrong as looking like an extra off of Jersey Shore and that perhaps it is better just to be healthy and not be slavishly dedicated to a particular aesthetic?!?

The Pre-Raphaelites were wrong about something!!! NOOOOO(insert 60000 Os here)OOOOOO!!!!!

That's what they get for following a ninja turtle.

By the way, as nice for moral as a public shaming of a noob is, let's not forget that tribalism is a somewhat major failing of the adolescent brain. It's not entirely his fault he wants to maintain his "Goth" cred, as to "lose" it would isolate him from his community.

Lets not forget that our adult brains are different (superior) to his teenage brain. We were concerned about many of the same things when we were that age too.

Then we grew the fuck up and realized it didn't matter.

Interesting.

BTW While I was stomping emos today I thought of this song, played to the tune of the lumberjack song.

I'm a goth and thats ok, I shit out bats and I smoke all day... CHORUS: he's a goth and thats ok, he shits out bats and he smokes all day... I sleep in graves, I wear tall boots, I hang in a back alley, In the evenings I go shopping, and have buttered scones for tea... (Repeat, chorus) I stomp emos with a skip and jump, I like to press wildflowers, I put on normal clothing, and hang around in bars.(repeat, chorus)
I left off there.

That reminds me of If I Only Were a Goth. Which was my ringtone for a while, because my boss hated my "gothness" (his word, not mine) and I found it entirely too amusing to leave alone.
