Fucking Nocturne is terrible.

Lol. Trust me, That No no came from a lot of personal experiances.

For Example, Once at school I was talking to this Chick who was Wearing a Megadeth Shirt and I asked her what her favorite song by them was and she told me straight up told me that she doesn't listen to them, She just though the shirt looked cool at Hot Topic.

I swear, I acually Facepalmed.

Another fashion no no that is a pet hate of mine : Skinny jeans with rips in when you're obviously too fat for them.

It baffles me how people (especially guys) get thin enough to wear those. If If I were stripped to the bone, I think I'd still be fatter than most of these folks.

I think it's like an optical illusion. They make thin people look thinner. I hardly ever wear skinny jeans anyway, my legs look horrible in them...

1. No PVC or latex unless you are...no wait, it doesn't look good on anyone.
2. No more than one item from Hot Topic in any one outfit.
3. Don't try to start a conversation based on someone's band T shirt if you're never heard of them, if they are a fan they will know you're not.
4. Don't whine about your figure in public. Seriously, no one cares.
5. Keep your boobs and ass covered. It may seem obvious, but I have seen some people wearing skirts which looked more like belts. I just felt embarrassed for them.

Fat people in skinny jeans = fail.

Fat chicks in miniskirts = fail.

Nazi symbolism = fail.

Black Lipstick = Epic Fail.

I hate Capri bondage pants. I hate Capri period. People wear them with fat calfs and they never fit and they look stupid.

And PVC in 100 degree weather.

And stupid shirts that say slogans like "hottie" when you obviouslly are not.

I don't like black lipstick either. I've tried it but it's messy and look funny. Clownish. Ive never looked good in lipstick at all.

I miss my skinny FUCK lip service jeans. I used to be 110 pounds but now I gained too much. Of I didn't like being lazy so much I'd work out but I do that dancing. Guess I'm getting old heh. I used to be able to dance to 10 songs in a row.

There are a lot of shirts out now with just logos and graphics of the bands. I alwAys try to make sure if it's a crappy band or not before I buy it. Too many damn emo bands in HT now.

The same said for Lingerie being used as a outfit.

I don't mind it sometimes..depending on the night, and WHO wears it. It doesn't look good on most people.

These fashion No-nos actually come with a picture. Don't wear black lipstick, it hardly ever looks good on anyone. The general rule is to wear garments that fit correctly or at least look good fitting incorrectly. As you can tell by the picture the waistcoat is too small. Also try to avoid looking like a clown via shitty makeup jobs.

Yea I hate it when people just slap on makeup. Or don't shave before whiteface. Lol using clown white instead of somthing like MAC foundation. When I used it , I liked mac and translut powder. No one bothers with that look anymore really. I did it for the last draculas ball for Halloween though. Came out pretty even and pale.

You're not supposed to do the bottom button up on a waistcoat.
The lipstick looks horrible, a dark red should be used in place of black in most cases.
Also the colours don't particularly match up.
And those "steampunk" goggles are generally fucking horrible.

Heh oh yea. At least wear a black shirt so the waistcoat doesn't look small and blends in. His makeup is horrible. Looks like a fucking mime. He didn't even blend in his neckline.

This is why people make fun of goths. Well...other than people suck regardless.

Agreed.

I thoroughly hate this whole "steampunk" thing.
And it's association with goth.

Every magazine, forum or goth/deathrock e-zine has a thing about "steampunk" now.

I don't think it even blends at the nose, it looks patchy and foul...

I like some steampunk. It's fun dressing up in diff styles.
Some people take it too far though and get way too into it. I hate it it's like when the stupid vampire people get into thinking they are one.

I don't have so much of a problem with it.
Apart from the people that actually think it's a subculture.
I more hate it when people connect it to goth.
There's no connection.
Abney Park may call themselves steampunk, but that doesn't stop them from being a really awful darkwave band.
