Sure there is you just have to know how to run on the balls of your feet and not use your heel. I happen to believe that you should not be allowed to wear shoes that inhibit the way you move (because of this belief my friend made me go through an obstacle course in 5in stilettos)
Wow. I have a pair, I can walk in them. Mother: Small steps you look hideous! No big steps in heels!

Me: -.- ... *shut up shut up shut up!!! it's too slow!!!!* Yes Mother....

Your friend was probably told she had a heart of gold... Then decided to rip it out and sell it so she can afford to live so extravigantly.

I am too poor to afford the expensive shops... but if you know what you are doing, it looks new and pretty. I like some stuff at Hot Topic... mostly the tights... but I end up making my own... I do buy long gloves there when they have them. Because I can't make gloves... Not that talented.

I have thigh-highs that I stitched lace onto. I am a very cheap person, and I am great at haggling. If I had the money for Hot Topic, I would probably go to those stores still though. I love thrift shops and Flea Markets.

My mother takes me to department stores. She's never let me go inside a thrift store and I've never taken step in a flea market. You are one lucky person. My mother has also made a ban on black. I also can't sew and she can't teach me. Basically, my clothing luck is zero and mother gets little of what I want.

That is really sad. For a short time I was banned from wearing black, I bought white cotton clothes. Then got a box of black dye and the biggest pastic tub I could find and I dyed my clothes in my garage... Then I bought red, purple and blue stuff to wear with it... I would just buy whatever you are allowed to in the colours you think work for you then dye the rest... unless she is going to get way too pissed about it. I wore colourful shit getting on the bus and then changed before anyone else was on... We live in the country so that was really easy to do.

For sewing... go to Wal-Mart. Then the cloth section and they have a area where the cloth is one dollar a yard. get a needle and some $0.22 thread and practice... I find there are two ways to sew that work... In and out style, or put the two edges together and go in one... out the other then in the same one is a circular pattern. that seems to hold best if done right... but in and out works if you are really careful.

I taught myself and I started by jsut stitching lace on to stuff. Then I got an umbrella and made a parasol by sewing lace onto the panels. Now I am remaking a hundred year old REAL parasol that had ripped because the cloth shrunk. So it was all jsut step by step... Hand made stuff is much more satisfying to get complimented on, then getting praised for your ability to pair up machine made stuff.

I am putting up a sewing thing later... once I get a dress form to take pictures of... because I use myself as a dressform now... and I don't wear much when I sew for a better fit.

Sorry if I talked a really long time... I have to run now... a giant town yardsell is going on. yay collective yardselling. ^.^ Cheap crap!

Cheap crap is fun! I live in the suburbs of LA area and I don't have enough time to change in the mornings at school. As for the dye, I'd have to have a friend buy it for me and dye my stuff while my mother is away. See if she'd give up. Probably not.

My cousin was starting to wear black more often, so my mother's brother was freaking out that he'd want to be goth. While cousin is away, daddy dearest threw away everything black but for the socks. Poor cousin of mine now can't buy black.

I don't want my mother to pull a leaf from her brother's book. Nope. Nuh-uh.

I know, it's just a color, and it's not some heinous color like pink and those freaky ladies that won't even wear different colored undies.

I'm saying you are the hottest thing in the world, even hotter than that BBQ I ran into when I was little that gave me a horrible 2-3 degree burn *mother said she couldn't tell which one it was* across my entire left arm when I was three.

Hmm how about you go outside into the sun tomorrow at 2 in the afternoon so you can see why you are so hot. The sun makes your hair red, and puts more definition with the shadows on your face making you even hotter than usual. It also works in the night too ~.^ Sexy!
