Stardust was mostly a pile of shit IMO.

The Golden Compass however is AMAZING.I have just got in from seeing it. I have never drooled so much in all my life as I have dribbled after those airships....the visual effects are fucking stunning. The Ice bears are just incredible. They're clearly going to do the trilogy because of how this ended.

I was asked to bring Christmas music to a holiday party...

Did they know what they were asking... Hmmm, let's see...

Ah, the three volumes of Excelsis (A Dark Noel, a Winter's Song, and a Prelude), Loreena McKennitt, Nox Arcana and Mediæval Bæbes.

Oh yes. B-)

My colleague at work sent me a message via facebook that went something like we've got clients on our network so even though I know we work at hell, we can't let them know.

Allright, Stardust was... not as expected. Ridiculously great start, but then it just seemed like the budget went out the window.

Captain Shakespeare absolutely rocked though. (and I want his airship. Yarrrrr!)

Pity it didn't hold you all the way through. I do think the aging effects really could have been done a lot better, but other than that I rather liked it.
How often do you get people being eaten alive by sacrificial divination animals in a family rated film?

Oh, but it did. It went up-pace at the end again. It's a keeper.

Glad you like it, then!
You off to see the Golden Compass any time soon?

Maybe, depends on if I can find anyone else who'd like to see it.

My main fear of that movie is that I'm going to think "Hey, there's Mr Bond again!" every time a certain character turns up on the silverscreen.

Hehehe... damn it, now I'll be thinking that too!
I'm sure there'll be a few who'll want to come along to it with you. It's the kind of film that appeals to most alt-types.

It's like The Lord of the Rings, when Agent Smith dress up like an elf.

Yep, and if no one wants to see it, I'll always find a way.

There's always online... I'm sure it'll be available somewhere online by now.
You've changed your tag from 'Sky Captain', I notice.

I had to send the Zep in for repairs and tried the ways of a landlubber. It will change back in a minute.

(or to be closer to the truth, I tried to see what could be done with tags and forgot to change it back...)

Ahhh.... I should hope you have a team of skilled mechanics. Tis a heartwrenching thing to be deprived of one's zeppelin.
