Ummm...Meow?

Yeah. Hi. Greetings. Salvete. It's me, except you don't actually know what that means because you don't know me yet, do you? Well that's the point of this thread!

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

Bit of this that and the other. Full-time student, so that takes up more time. Spend a lot out walking/jogging. Other stuff...sewing, writing, wirework, reading, computer games...the list goes on.

2. Where are you from?

Currently, Delaware. Moving to Michigan in the next few months.

3. Who is your favorite author?

Probably Mercedes Lackey, for modern authors. Overall I have a special spot for

4. What are your favorite films?

Star Trek Although I admit my education is sadly lacking in this department.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

If I ever have a wedding, I want to play taps at it.

6. At your funeral?

Blasphemous Rumours

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

Having a heart attack while out running at 90.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

Personally, I'd find it more amusing if someone would hide my body in the middle of Yellowstone national park. Feed the wolves, that kind of thing.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

...I don't know where to begin. Depends on my mood, I can be in anything from lace and velvet to chains and leather to jeans and a t-shirt.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

Yeah, the only part I really remember about being a little kid is wanting to commit suicide because of some stupid meds messing up my brain. No thanks.

11. What's your favorite band?
Tough one, but I have rather a soft spot for Depeche Mode. For more current, Faith and the Muse.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?

*Almost* completed my B.A. in philosophy (finishing one last course right now). Going on to my M.A. this fall, hopefully complete a Ph.D. and get a nice academic career started.

13. Why did you join?

I was bored and the Gothic Charm School site kept bringing this place up.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?

I refuse to answer this question on moral grounds.

I don't suppose you could provide a direct link, I am curious as to why she would take interest in gnet. We unfortunately have a history of scaring off more famous people (like Voltaire), much to my dismay(I was inactive briefly while that whole thing happened, I probably would have tried to mediate things if I had been online). I hope you'll enjoy your stay, welcome.

That chick that writes those mildly successful erotic novels where the odd person gets murdered was on here for a bit too. I think she was called Poppy or Popper or some shit like that.

http://gothic-charm-school.com/charm/?p=36 there's one of them, but there's several, as the search bar up top should reveal if utilized.

What slap-nut drove off Voltaire? I hope they realize that Voltaire is one of the few public figures out there making Goths look like intelligent individuals instead of wanksty teens. Fucking, really?

Dr.Brite or DocBrite was Poppy Z. Brite. Yes, she did know the original site owner and most of us at least read her short fiction back then. If you don't know her you should definitely check out her stories, she rocks. Jillian Venters(The Lady of the Manners) was 'gothic miss manners' quite a while back on here when people here had intelligent discussions about things Goth/ic.

BlacKat, welcome. I approve of you wolf-feeding idea and your music doesn't make me want to stab you.

Kontan and Eclipsing The Sun. Kontan was too offended that Voltaire did a project with the guy from My Chemical Romance, and Voltaire came to defend his bromance.

I have a soft spot for the oldies from the early days of the internet - nethack, colossal cave adventure, etc. Also many hours on civ games. Plus of course pen-and-paper gaming, some of which is now done online too.

I'm sure... but, what is wrong with MCR? Granted I can't picture a pairing of Voltaire and them, but I don't see anything wrong with the band itself...

*sigh* I guess not. I enjoy the band and as much as I'd love to get into an argument over it, I will refrain as to me being particularly lazy today.
