GAAAAAHHHH!!!

Why do you hate me Saya? Is it because I mock your faith, your diet, and your country?

...

Actually, that's probably it.

This is off topic because it involves our favorite Green Arrow on Smallville, yet it could help make this whole Jensen and Jared (Jen-Jar) thing come about:

I'm a few episodes behind, but the dragon episode was the best thing in the world. And boy did I freak when I realized it was going to be dragons. When they were trying to figure out what the monster was I was talking to the screen, "Its a dragon!!!!" And my dignity flew right out the window then.

Also, I love Jensen. Even if his wife can't act and he's an Ayn Rand fan.

HE KNOWS.

I really wanted to like this show. It has so many of those staples of awesome television: one very pretty guy, one really annoying one to ensure the viewing experience doesn't turn you downright moon-eyed and vacant, some really cool storylines, and friggin' monsters. Unfortunately the writing is just plain bad, and every storyline I've seen so far has involved Sam apparently being constipated to some degree. Seriously. EVERY single one.

Just skip ahead to the Dragon Episode. Or Changing Channels. The funny episodes are why I keep watching.

Thanks Saya, I'll give those a go. The best one I've seen so far was Mystery Spot. Honestly though, the main reason I kept watching at all was to lech over Dean, who is very, VERY pretty.

OMIGOD I KNOW RITE?!

I have an unsettling amount of Supernatural funny stuff on my hard drive.

I have no idea what straight men get out of Supernatural.

ETA: Also, the anime is out in Japan now, hopefully we'll get a fansub online soon!

Hey - if you spam enough of it here, I need never watch the show and look at Sam's puggle face or listen to his only-a-puggle-could-hear-it whine again!

I think I'm onto something here.

If someone hasn't watched any Supernatural since sometime last year would they feel out of the loop watching this dragon episode? Cuz you make it sound super awesome and I kind of want to see it.

If you don't like spoilers, no. If you don't mind that one or two things are spoiled, go ahead, i think they explain everything in that 60 second recap before every episode.

Ah, the proper name for it is Like A Virgin.

I have zero emotional attachment to the show anymore so spoilers wouldn't be an issue.

Also "Like A Virgin"? Really? Lame

The dragon was eating virgins.

Which brings me to the one thing I really didn't like about that episode. They're all hot twenty something women! Where's the trekkie in her parent's basement?!

Well of course they are going to be hot virgins, pretty much all women in the world of Supernatural are hot and between the ages of 18 and 30.

Yeah, pretty much - which was only one of many problems I had with the show.

I actually enjoy the show Supernatural. I'm not sure what it is but the show just keeps me interested. Maybe its the demons, maybe its how funny Dean Winchester is.

I wonder what the mother of all monsters will look like. Something gives me the impression, she looks like a hot chick sporting at least a D cup, but maybe they have some kind of monster make-up.

I agree with the monster makeup comment.

Well, I haven't had any desire to watch this year, but I figured this had to be the last season, what with Jensen Ackles stating his intent to not sign another contract and all. Then I read the blurb below, and read on Wikipedia that "the CW has announced Jensen Ackles and his Supernatural co-star Jared Padalecki have both signed on for another year of Supernatural, but a Season 7 has not yet been confirmed."

Here's the blurb.
The show is now pretty close to being a lock for a seventh season. This is apparently a very good thing, because show creator and season final (writer) Eric Kripke says they will be doing a fairly substantial cliffhanger at the end, and Sera Gamble promises some questions will be left unanswered until the next season. Kripke also offers this cryptic tease for the end of the finale:

"I'd actually say my favorite thing [in the finale] is the final minute. Stay tuned for the final minute. It's one of those moments where the more you stop to think about it, the more you feel the enjoyment of the writer, looking at what he's doing and going, 'I can't believe I got away with that.' When you look at it subtextually, it's sort of a nutty thing that I did."

SOURCE
There are some teasers and spoilers for upcoming episodes there as well. The one I find interesting is this: One thing that Ben [Edlund] would like to try is a live episode.

I wonder how that would work ... could it be any good? It certainly would limit what they could use for special effects, but you could hope that would prompt the need for better writing.

Well, I think I'm still not watching it ... I'll catch it later on Netflix or Hulu Plus once it becomes available.

The Supernatural anime is online! I just watched two episodes but I'm not sure what to think. I'm wondering if when the DVD comes out if they'll have a sub version, all I found online is the dub and I think what I don't like might be attributed to that. The dialogue is funny in that badly translated sort of way. Like, a ghost pops out, Dean says "Think thats ______?" And thats who the ghost is. So then they're running to go save someone from the ghost, and Dean again is like "shit! Its actually ______!" Repeating who the ghost is. YOU FIGURED THIS OUT TEN MINUTES AGO WHY IS THIS A REVELATION NOW?! So I'm thinking maybe the dub made him say that the first time to be funny, but I can't be sure until I see the sub.
